AVC - Alien VS Clone , is a machinima made with the game Operation Flashpoint and the Galaxy At War modification.

The editing, cut and compositing of the Sound-, Music-, and Videotrack and the customization and editing of special addons has been made by me, Acacyn.

Plot

During the Clone Wars strange things happened on the planet of Illeon in the Outer Rim. The Grand Army of the Republic had installed an Outpost on that planet, but all of sudden the contact was lost.

Accidently a Venator Class ship carrying the 47th Storm Corps of the 4th Sector Army was near the planet. So a small special operation unit of the 47th Storm Corps has been sent to investigate the situation on Illeon.

But what they have found there let them go to their doom...

Yeesh. Allow me to correct a couple of your titles:

"During the Clone Wars" is fine. I like the fade, leaving "Clone Wars" in. I would've let that be the only one, though. The others aren't as impressive.

"An unknown menace has revealed to the Grand Army of the Republic."
Did you mean An unknown menace has BEEN revealed?

"And it has choosed its new prey"
And it has chosen it's new prey

"They have thought the threat has been defeated"
Had been. With a "D". And I'd remove the "have" entirely. They thought the threat had been defeated.

Oi. This one was killer.
"But the fight for survival has just began"
Begun. "U". Man, that really ruined the moment.

Pretty cool, otherwise. For a Machinima, you've got some nice shots in there. I would put the "Summer 2008" after that last bit with the Battle Droid. Usually the release date comes last in a trailer, if not right before the final titles/credits. It made me think it was over, and I switched to another page when I heard the droid sounds.

I would have needed somebody like you before the release of the trailer I would like to ask you for some translation help as soon as AVC II will be released, so there aren't any mistakes in the english subtitles.

Heh, you mean your editing. Compositing is something else.

Maybe I could help with the translation later on. What's your native language, anyway? I had guessed English wasn't your first, but I didn't want to make any assumptions and accidentally insult someone.

Anyway, depending on how much time I have, feel free to drop me a line when you're getting into that phase. We can try and figure something out. I don't imagine it'll take too long, if you already have a rough translation ready.

I'm sorry Vapor, but you're wrong on this one. The way he has it is actually correct. "it's" is a contraction for "it is." The possesive "its" doesn't use the apostrophe. It's an exception to the rule (usually you need the apostrophe), but "its" is a special case to avoid confusion between it and the contraction.

 

It's/its is pretty much my Achilles heel of language, not counting conjugation of German. Within English, yeah. I generally screw that one up.



Anyway.

Yeah, you just have to remember that it's = it is. It used to foul me up until I burned that fact into my memory. It's quite natural for me now <--you see, I didn't even think as I was typing this last sentence, and only noticed now that I used "it's" properly).

 

@VaporTrail: No problem My native language is russian but i live for many years in germany already. I would like to have an good english speaking advisor for the subtitles, but until the release it will still take several months, so there is no need now and it won't be very much work to do for you if you are interested in this

Thank you You can look forward for AVC II, it will be much better than AVC I used the Battlestar Galactica Season III ( A Distant Sadness ) and 300 (The Hot Gates) soundtrack for this trailer.

 

Haven't seen it yet...but LOVE the choice of Clone costume.

Generally, I'm not a hige fan of cross-overs like this, but this is pretty cool. Good work.

I'm impressed. Who did you do your voice over work? Are those actual voice talents or canned voice sound bytes?

 

Thx! I take sounds and voices from many different games and movies In the trailer you hear the original voice of Dooku and Obi-Wan for example.
