Fan Film Meeting

This is a map of the North Chagrin Reservation. We will be meeting at Squires Castle at 12:30 on Sat July 20th. All are welcome. The map is hard to read but basicly you need to take I-90 north towards Erie, PA. The exit after I-271 merges with 90 is S.O.M. Center. Exit at SOM Center and take a right. Go south on SOM Center for severial miles until you reach Route 6/Chardon Rd. Take a left on Route 6. A block or 2 later you will come up on Chagrin River Rd. (Do not turn in to the Res at the first entrance on Route 6, wait until Chagrin River RD.) Take a right on Chagrin River RD. A mile or so down the road you will see signs for Squires Castle. Take a right into the parking lot. We will meet at the picnic tables at the end of the parking lot nearest to the Castle.
We will be discussing the Fan Film, Rite of Passage. You can audition for a part or just sit and watch. We will be visiting severial locations on the Res. that will be used in the filming, so bring good walking shoes. We will also be doing some Lightsaber training. If you have a Lightsaber, bring it. If you have a costume, bring it. If you have a camera, bring it(video or still). I will be providing drinks while there. Afterwards (or whenever) we can head out to Denny's for lunch.

Sounds great! It's a bit far from where I live, about an hour's drive, but I'm more than willing to go. That is, if you still want me to try for the part of Dante Xelis. If there's better competition than me, I don't really want to drive that far just to get rejected lol. I also don't have a lightsaber nor a costume; I do have a digital camera but it it's not that great, I can bring it just in case though. Also, my parents want to come along with me *sigh* to check out Squire's Castle or whatever it's called, so I hope that's cool. Hope to get the part!

 

*sigh* Yep, make me feel really bad now that I can't come, since I'm on vacation. I'll be with you all in spirit. Also, it sounds like it is really far for me tho.

We will be filming at the Castle too, But not in any way that makes it look like it was the same location as COTS. Man I love that shot of the 2 Sith walking through the mist. I've always wanted to do that!

I love that place. You guys did a great job of making it look lived in Douz.

 

Wow, that's a really nice area out there for filming, looks really cool! Oh yeah, if I do get the part, I get $1000 per scene, with $150 extra per every spoken word of dialogue, my own trailor, and a hot chick to go with it. Hehe j/k, I'd do it for nothing; can't wait to check that place out (by the way I've heard rumors that Squire's Castle is supposodly haunted, sounds like fun!).

 

I havent heard of anything that Squires is haunted...however depending on when you are there and who is in the rooms along with you...you may think you see some ghosts off of the contact high you may get.

 

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend the meeting, work plans/travel times to Marietta may be changing. I'll keep you informed Anrev.

If, for some reason I can't make the 20th I'd still like to help in the production. Can I have Nick Gillard's job? If you need someone who's got professional videographer experience...I'm your guy!

Umm, Anrev... How do you get there from Garfield? Should I take 480 East to 271 North? Then follow the rest of the directions?

Also... I have a full Jedi outfit I've created, except that I am missing boots and some accesories (i.e. food capsules, communicator, things like that). If anyone could help a Jedi out, I would be much obliged.

 

Anyone know the zip code for that area? I'm trying to get a precise map from where I live to there with Yahoo Maps and need a zip code, any help ASAP would be cool, thanx.

Yes you can take 480 east to 271 to 90.

Dont let the map fool you. You cant get off on 6 from 271. You must go up to 90 OR get off at Willson Mills from 271. Then take Willson Mills to Chagrin River Rd (174) and go left.

Hmm, those links don't seem to be working. I think I should be able to make it though, shouldn't be too hard. This is my first time up there so I might be a little late, but I'm going to leave early so I might be a little early too, I can't say for sure. But I WILL be there!

 

Like Random, I also don't have boots with my Jedi costume. I just have something that goes over my shoes.
