    Hi and welcome!

These're pretty good. If there's anything they all have in common, it's their realistic qualities.

There's a little problem with the linking. You might wanna try linking to the paintings page of your website:

    Thank you very much. :)

And I see that there is a problem with the links, but with the website there is the problem, too. I just don`t know why :-(!
So do you know a website, where you can upload pictures and share it with the world?

    Thanks in advance

Hello Venexa_Nightwalker, and welcome to Fan Art!

This has to be the "You Can Draw Star Wars" book that came out a few months ago, yes? I'm becoming more and more impressed with that book and some of the results I'm seeing as folks use it! ;) These are quite wonderful (I wasn't able to view the first set--the links didn't work for me...)--the droids in particular are great! Congrats on 3PO--he looks just awesome! :D Sidious is appropriately scary, and Amidala appropriately lovely--I'm going to have to go check out this book! Keep on drawing, and again--welcome to the forum!

That looks pretty good--some nice shading and good form (I have trouble "freehanding" Vader's helmet..)--you're learning quite a bit from that book, I'd say! ;)

Great drawings; I especially liked Darth Vader. Drawing his helmet is so hard - actually, drawing him in general is hard. But you did a great job. Keep it up!

    Thank you!

I know some lines aren`t that good to see. I´m sorry for that, when you put it on the computer it turns out like that, on the paper it`s quite different.

So I´m glad that you liked it anyway!

Hey, I finally drew a new picture. This one with Mara Jade. I made this again with a little help from the book, but the rest I made out of my mind. I`m not really sure if this is good. So please say your opinion!

That's a very nice drawing of Mara, Venexa--I can see some of the reference lines you used to construct the face (it's great you're learning to use guides like that--they can go a long, long way to helping you learn the proper proportions of the human face!). I like the bits of shading you've added, along the cheekbones particularly--it gives better definition of structure and form. What I will suggest though, is that you take a look here for a general proportional guide--notice that the eyeline divides the head/skull into two roughly equal portions: half above the eyeline, half below. Mara's head should have a bit more "on top," according to this rough guide. Copy off that reference page and keep it with your drawing supplies--that way, you'll have it to look at when you draw heads and faces (I have a ton of references that I have copied and keep with my own drawing stuff: hands in particular, but also figures, figures in motion, head and facial references, too!). Keep on going with your drawing, and don't be afraid to use references if they help! Soon enough, you'll have enough command of your subject to work without those references!

    Hi Venexa. :)
Your sketches are delightful. I really enjoy the 'loose hand' quality of them, meaning your line work looks confident - like you're not afraid to make any mistakes. It makes your work remind me of how a concept artist would sketch something. It's great!

I especially like the droids and Vader. Keep up the good work! :)

Hey! I finally made another piece of work. This time I chosed Tahiri and I think the head is much better on this now...
Anyway I had problems with the body, it is too small. Despite this I like the lightsaber and so I wanted to keep this. I Hope you like it!

[face_love] I do like it a lot. I know drawing the human body can be very difficult to draw. just keep on practicing it's the way we can get better. The lightsaber is done very well. I love how you added the white for the glowing and the reflections in her hair. =D=

You know, getting the porportions of a body right is tough. The fact that you see her body is too small is good though! Next time you'll do it better!
I like how you worked on the shape of her face and jawline. And by shading in her left cheekbone area you were able to add some depth. Great!

I can`t say how happy I am that you think it`s good nevertheless!!
    [face_blush]

And I will practice the drawing of the human body TheOnlyJediPrincess, I promise :)! I used chalk for the white lines (It was the first time that I used such thing) and it was just a try, so I`m very glad you think it`s good this way :). So great that you also liked the lightsaber and thanks for your review!

Yes, I finally saw that it was difficult,Obi-Dawn Kenobi. Maybe I will focus on drawing the face first...But I´m relieved that you liked the rest of the drawing ;-) and you think it`s even great :) I love shading because you can do so much with it, it can change the whole expression of the face! Thanks so much for your comment!

I tried to draw Tenel Ka and well this is the result...

    [image=http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee41/Venexa_Nightwalker/CCF29102007_00000.jpg]

It is a bit small and the face impression is a bit different from what I wanted to have, but just say your opinion :).

    I missed one!

you did a really good job on TK. she dose give the expression of someone who is worried about something. witch is perfect for what is happening in the Legacy series right now.

Now Jaina, nice job =D= you gave her a very dramatic look to her. I think this is of my favorites so far. keep up the good work!

    ;)

Thank you for your great support! @};- I appreciate this a lot!

I have to say that Tenel Ka`s face expression shouldn`t look that way. I wanted to give her a strenght appearence and a appearence of a women who always now what to do. I don`t know why it didn`t come out that way, so I am more than happy, that you like it and that you can see it as a pictured which is set in the Legacy series :)

I finally noticed that I forgot a few details on the Jaina drawing[face_blush] I hope it doesn`t matter... Anyway, I`m a bit suprised by myself that it turned out that good. It is my favourite now, either ;-)

Again, thank you for all the kind words!
