KC, MO FanBoys in Kansas City

This has been in the works for quite some time... and we're GLAD it is finally here!


For those of you who have not kept up, Fanboys is a film, that celebrates "who" we all are, and reminds us how normal being a FANBOY is.... along with a story, some jokes, etc...

This was a labor of love for the filmmakers, and naturally, it got picked up on and approved by GL and they even got to shoot at Skywalker Ranch!

Now, this came out on 2/9 in limited release, and we have finally have it to play here... at the Palace on the Plaza...

Naturally, this is a great opportunity to do a few things...
1. Enjoy a movie together that we all can related to...

2. Recruit those of us out there of "like" mind...

So... We have a "in" with the Manager at the Palace, and he has provided us a table, and some lobby room on Friday night, (along with costumed folks from Rebel Legion and 501st) so basically, it's a time to "celebrate" and "promote" ... naturally the movie is the centerpiece, but it is a good chance to get our names out again...

Since HOTA has a few members that are the costumed variety planning to participate, what we need are a few of you willing to done your HOTA gear (or SW Gear) and hand out flyers/business cards, sit at the table and generally talk to people...
this is EASIER than a Convention, since they are coming RIGHT to you, interested in STAR WARS already!

Yes, the costume folks will garner much attention, but we will be the people "feeding" the information...

The Plan is to show up by 650-7pm on Friday night at the Palace... (meet out front of box office before getting moved inside)
Help "hang out and promote" in the lobby outside Fanboys, then go in and watch the film. The show starts at 7:35pm. There is a 2nd showing at 9:50pm, that I hear some folks might want to stick around for, but it is optional (*may or may not happen, we have permission though)

Please by all means, ask any questions, We will gladly help with all the info we with a liaison to the theatre manager...
