It will be the 29th ann. of A New Hope! I was 3 1/2 when I saw the movie! Oh the sweet memories of the 70's. The outfits I was forced to wear...

 

5-25-77 is also the name of a movie coming out later this year.

 

I thought Fanboys was going to be out August or September of this year? Did it get pushed back till next year?

I know the Star Wars TV show got pushed back to a 2008 release now per Rick McCallum's recent interview.

 

I was talking with Kyle last night and I am sure he said it will be out this fall/winter!

Yay! I'm glad. It is better that it comes out this year so that the 5-25-77 movie by Gary Kurtz, won't steal any of its thunder. Having two Star Wars Fan movies coming out at the same time, would be like a few years back when they had two asteroid movies in the theatre at the same time, Armaggedon and Deep Impact. People kept comparing the two, and I really think it was bad for both movies.

 

I may be a little biased.....but Fanboys is going to be friggin funny! The scenes that were shot this past weekend were fantastic!!!

 

Hey Jess, this may be a dumb question, but did the Fanboys people make Detriot Rock City as well? That Kiss movie was awesome!!!

 

Nope....just watched it last night. It is so weird to see Sam Huntington on the screen.....when you were just standing next to him these past few weeks.

 

If I get to see Kristen Bell again, I will have to remember to tell her I know one of the actors she works with on Veronica Mars. His name is Brandon Hillock and he plays Deputy Sachs on the show:

He was one of the founding members of the SDSWS, and he went on to start the Inland Empire Fanforce chapter and was their chapter rep. And he does one heck of a Ewan McGregor Obi-wan accent!

I'll be in Albuquerque Saturday and Sunday, but unfortunately I have to fly back Sunday night because I just found out I get to meet James Earl Jones on Monday! I'll be back the following week as well though, as my house in Cloudcroft is closing escrow and I have to clear my personal belongings out of it.

Here is how I get to meet James Earl Jones. I can't believe he is coming 1 1/2 blocks away from my house.


Most phone calls I get these days are solicitations asking me if I want to refinance my house, today I got a very different kind of phone call. One of the teachers at my son's school, who is also one of my neighbors, called and asked me if I would like to meet James Earl Jones on monday. I of course said yes before she could explain just how and why I would get this honor. LOL She explained that she had applied for a grant for the school newspaper, and had been awarded that grant. James Earl Jones is coming to the school Monday morning to present the class with a $25,000 grant to buy laptops for the school journalism class, and other classes. The press will be there covering the event as the children are given the chance to interview Mr. Jones. The teacher explained that she couldn't think of anyone else but me to invite there on Monday who would appreciate it as much as I would. See, my whole neighborhood knows I'm the resident Star Wars geek. LOL I asked her if Leia could attend, and informed her that Leia was the Editor of the San Ysidro High School paper, and she said that would be great, and that she and Leia could collaborate on an article together. Of course I'm pulling Collin out of his class Monday morning to meet Mr. Jones as well. I'll post pics. I don't know if I'll get to talk with him in depth or even get a pic with him because the classroom will be filled with the press, but I'm going to try anyway.
