Resource FanFic Orientation Guide - Newbies Check In Here! - Interview with a Moderator, Part Ace!

Okay, I'll admit it! I'm a NEWBIE.

I registered a long time ago but got lost in the Maw. Recently rescued by an intriguing man in a battered old freighter, I've found my way back to the Boards and I'm just starting to post ... after lurking for quite a while.

Interests: Mainly EU and Saga, but a good story is a good story!

Why am I here? I've been a fan since, oh, long before you were born... (most of you) and I love the huge library of diverse fiction that has grown from George's original work. There are so many talented writers out there with wonderful ideas! I have writing aspirations as well, but nothing on my C:drive is ready for posting just yet.

Thanks for giving Newbies a place to meet some of you and collect sage advice!

Yes, I signed up in '03, looked around a little, but didn't participate. Then I sort of stopped looking at the site until late '04. Took me awhile to work up the nerve to post, but now I don't know why. It seems a pretty friendly place (at least every corner I've visited). So, to my new friends in this forum:

Yeah, I tried to make that line invisible, but I couldn't find a color that matched the background, and I don't know how to put in color backgrounds yet.

I knew people stalked me. There are RL people that stalk me, and they stalk me on the net too.

What kind of stories you're interested in: I'll read pretty much anything, but right now I'm really on a Luke/Mara kick.

Why you joined the boards: I joined 'cause my real life friends (psh... "real life"? What is this thing called "real life"?) aren't as into Star Wars as I am, so I needed other people to talk to that understand my obsession.

Had college not been detaining me, I would have seen this a while ago.

Age: 19 in two days!
What kind of stories you're interested in: Historical types of stories. War, holocausts... I'm a huge history buff (as anyone who actually knows what my user name is can tell) . I guess on these boards, that falls into either Jedi Purge stories (Saga, I believe?) or Sith Wars stories (Before).
Why you joined the boards: I became addicted to Knights of the Old Republic, where I got a horrible story idea for it. I would visit TF.N for news, so I figured it was about time to check out the Fan Fiction.
