Very interesting concepts! I'd say you have some talented artists there. Very broad in scope (especially the asteroid and "pit" drawings). Quite bold in scale for a fan film. I like that. I like to see people branching out, trying for more than just the "standard" SW universe. That's a bit of what I'm going for in my upcoming fan film. Very nice work.

Looks awesome! (no crit here). Are you planning on using these in a fan film? And what is that pink stuff in the corridor?

Oh, yes. Using a composite of 3D animation and Live Action these things will come to life.

Also, the pink stuff in the corridor is actually Blue/Majenta Rocket Fuel. A barrel of it blows up inside a space station. I figured I could combine the blue of the Falcon's engines with the purple of the rockets on ATOC. We just had too many red fire explosions already in the film, perhaps a little chemical fire would be cool.

Yeah, I edited it to fix that, and I lowercased the link's name, instead of the URL. Hense why all the saber names start with a capital letter except "sage." But now it's too late.

    Thanks for the link though.

Looks great, its awesome to see someone taking the time to work on that kind of preconceptualization (ignore that if it isn't a real word, my wife says I make a lot of words up).

Should be a beauty of a CG sequence.

No, I'm pretty sure it counts as a word. And thank you, I hope to make it look great.

Very nice work you've got there Corrin! How much of your film would you say you have completed? (Counting pre-production of course.)

I'd say I've put more effort into my fanfilm than most people. However, all that effort as resulted in a great deal of concept art, storyboards, and planning -and with very few props, costumes, sets, or finished product.

Sadly, when I'm done with this animatic, it'll be the first and only scene I've completed. 1 minute of a 45 minute film.

The production could go faster with more reliable CG artists helping me with set modeling and such, but it's hard to find good help that lasts.

(I also put this reply in the fanfilms area - just wanted to make sure I responded to both topics. :D )

You've got some really nice looking stuff there Corrin. This is much more impressive than the previous footage/pics I've seen and I love the directions a film like this could go. That's the kind of project I'd like to be a part of someday because of the sheer scale it looks like it will have. Pretty awesome potential. Best of luck on this project - be sure to keep us all informed as time goes on!

Looked like a shot of the beautiful Utah Valley sky in your first composite shot of the meteors raining down. :D I agree that the scope of this film looks huge, and that's awesome. Any tentative release date?

    Expected release date: May 2008.

Sooner the more help/funding I get.

    Well, here I am again.

I'm almost done with a fully rendered out scene for my film. It utilizes one of the many SciFi3D Models, and I think I did a pretty good job with it.

    I'll post it later today.
