SNG FanFilm Lightsaber Workshop

I'm planning to come down too. Fri is fine with me as tomolo I may need to cater to Fiona coming to my house to borrow my sewing machine.

 

I'll be on for both days. We had a private session today with me, yazid and david. We picked up a few attack and defense moves. We worked on a couple of offensive and defensive hybrids move. Powerful we are... Hahaha.

Clare and I really wanna go down - but i'll go only if she does, so it all banks on her mum's approval.

still, i may surprise myself by turning up even if she doesn't. heh.

Faiz,i get off work at 6p, but this being the school holidays, we have lots of holiday programs going on, so i'm busy with work, and also my sister is back in Singapore for a week (she lives in the States) so i'll be busy. maybe next week i'll see you guys.

 

hmm.. wed.. but i dun think i'm free on wed. have, uh, 'things' to do with my gf =x

the master must have recreation too! LOL
all work and no play makes master a sexually-frustrated person... hmm? needs practise with his lightsaber... hehehehe

ANYWAY u guys can go ahead of do some of your own i guess, since i've taught most of those going unsupervised watever i know, i think they're safe enuf for now, lol. i'll make myself free on fri then. crovus, u might wanna bring the cam tmr evening if they have their own session, u'd have to contact xeno and co for details. take down the moves u guys have discovered, and maybe i could try to polish it a bit or something.

kim, clare: well i do hope u 2 girls could drop by. clare, beg, bribe, polish apple, etc your mum to get approval. ultimately its starwars. if she insists i'd do up some kinda consent form for her to fill up LOL.

 

yeah. we finalise some moves and train on it again and again to ease n familiarise the XZQ-tion of the move. I'm proud to say by the end of the week we can do a scene better than Epi 4-5-6
that is if XENO doesnt slack

We came up with 2 basic set move on Day1 mostly with the foundation of Master Faiz teachings..
1.Head-down combo (2head slashes - 1leg slash)
2.Leg-up combo (2leg slashes - 1head slash)

Today we finalise 2 additional sets of move.
1.Double back swing (Blowing 2 strokes with 1 360turn)
2.Kick-back swing (A backswing down attack after a kick)

Easy to do these moves are, and they look good and all of the above 4 can be made into BOTH offensive and defensive moves depending on the user.

Hahaha. Ya, my laptop. LOTS of lesbo porn. I was the one who invented the first move. Slack, slack my ass. I had to get a new broomstick as our dear friend YAZID broke our lightest blade... Slack, slack my ass... More like David slack... Yep, our moves are starting to get WAY better than the OT.

I have also noticed that us having unliscenced training brings lots of fanciful and realistic moves out.

Guys who are joining us - please SMS me at 9744 0318. Me and hobbes will be going material hunting on making Lightsabers. ( no pun intended, but more of props LOL )

My created move which u labeled no. 2 was the first one invented today. Until u guys moved on to No.1 when Yazid broke the blade.

jedi_healer: well, maybe not consent forms, but if your mum doesnt believe, i guess me and some other adults like crovus could put in a word or 2, give her our numbers, or something. but this will onli happen if i'm attending the training myself, coz i dun want your mum to call, and then i'm not there. hahaha, everyone will be in trouble, and i doubt u'll be able to come for future trainings.

anyway after doing some calc, i might be able to attend the training, IF it goes into the evening. i should be done with the earlier appointment with my gf by 6pm, and i may be able to come down(possibly together with her) to train, provided crovus comes along as well, AND if i'm not too tired, lol

UPDATE: ok just found out that the xeno thingy is called off tmr.
training will resume on friday.

the meeting may take place tentatively around 3pm at city hall mrt control station. and training will take place at the empty area near city link and esplanade, where dancers usually practice their stuff.

jedi healer,try to convince your mum but if she still need some sort of proof, well let me noe and i'll pm u my mobile number or something.

 

Er, ok Producer in me needs to say something. For the broomsticks. Can we not buy so many? I mean, we can always share, and i'll be bringing my FX anyways (but not dueling with it against the broomstick). Everyone who comes to it having their own broomstick is a bad idea. One, yes i know its cheap and all, but in a production every cent counts. Moreover this is out of our own pockets. And two, unless we looking to have a Jedi vs Sith full out war, ala Braveheart, the actual shoot don't need that many broomsticks. =) Oh and three, Xeno will have a hell of a time bringing all that many broomsticks.

heh. So yeah, I think having about 5 should be more than enough. Heh. Budget budget budget. =)

 

unless they bring their own broomsticks to and fro, correct? i dun mind bringing my, uh, half-past-six pvc lightsaber, its, in a way more durable and way more expendable compared to a fx. but again i dun mind playing with broomtsticks either, haha.

i guess i wont mind bringing my own saber, since it'll free up a broomstick for someone else to use.

plan for friday.
i'm not sure if i can reach city hall by 3pm, apparently my appointment with my gf has been postphoned to friday as well. i may or may not be able by 3pm, but i should be able to get there by 6.30pm odd, depending on when and how long i'll be with my gf.

for first timers who are attending the training, will be taught directly under me first.
while i'm teaching the first timers, i want the others to train and play around with the moves by themselves. crovus, u have the choice to choose whether to attend me lecture first, or train immediately with xeno and co. once i'm done with the first timers, there will be a mix, an experienced lightsaberist with a first timer. i hope this will hasten the training for everyone.

 

hmm....i would like to join lei...but never meet u guys before..lol....paiseh!!

Faiz...so if you wanna train those who haven't gone before and you'll be reaching there at 6.30pm...doesn't that mean we'll be wasting our time if we go at 3pm?

i've got my own broomstick, as most of you know (hehehe), so i could bring that if i go...

 

Yeah.. I'm a first timer, and if I do go I'll probably be there at 3. Not too sure if I can stay til 6.30++.
