Sorry for the delay. Let me try to set some things in stone. Tomorrow is my birthday, the next day is my girlfriend's birthday (and a holiday). Friday I have to set up for a party, Saturday is the party. It looks like Sunday I can devote an afternoon to setting it up. Plus, I might have time on Friday to work on it.

May I suggest a firm date for our first fan film-only meeting? How about next Saturday (July 13) or either Sunday the 14 or Sunday the 21? Maybe if we have a firm date and time we'll launch this thing officially. We can meet over lunch or coffee and get things started.

I like Mon Mothma's Idea about a meeting for this thing.......I do have a suggestion though......how about a after-meeting meeting? Say the 20th in the evening.? That way those of us who have a great distance to drive (and horrible beach traffic to fight with) will only have one trip. (21st is also okay with me if anybody knows any cheap hotels in the area.....if there is such a thing.)

Hello, bumping this back up to the top.

 

I've completed a draft of a script. It goes along with my storyline. I'll be bringing it to the meeting. So if anyone has another one and wants to collaborate they can bring theirs, too.

Hey folks - definitely glad to see that the fan film should really happen after today's meeting!

I had a chance to read son of Mon-mothma's script when I got home - and I think it is definitely workable! It's complete, a fair amount of detail already, the character types that are fun in fanfilms (sith, bounty hunter, jedi, politicians, pirate. We could fuss forever on the perfect script, plot, goal of film - but hey - when someone stepped forward with a complete idea - I think that's great.

Now - could someone tell me how we can send feedback to the writer? I understand there is a way to private message - but I can't find the directions.

For those of you not at the meeting - the initial script will be available for downloading (Mogook's job to set that up) - and anyone can send feedback to the "primary" writers - son of M.M. (our initial screenwriter), MuttandSolo, and Mogook (since he is directing). This way they can work on a final draft based on ideas, comments, etc from everyone. We set a script finalization deadline of Sept 1 - with anticipated filming in Jan. or Feb.
