San Fran, CA FanFilm to shoot in SF!

Hey everybody, I jsut finished a script for a fanfilm that I'd really like to shoot. Although there is a lot of stuff in a forest, and there are lightsaber battles, I think its original because it has a story. I tried to write something that would work outside of the StarWars universe. Anyway, I'm probably going to need some help when shooting starts. Anyone who's interested, let me know.

Im down too...But to the rock....just to let you know the royal guard is super hard to wear for a long time. I met 2 at Comic Con & they had a tube running from their helmet to the outside of their costume. Please update us on the fan film....

Thanks for the response people. I'll give you a quick run down of the plot. A Jedi is called on by the council to retrieve his ex master who has gone insane and hides on a uninhabited planet. He goes and it conjures all sorts of bad memories when they meet. Sith also come for the man because he has information about them they dont want getting out, so the student and his former master have to fight to help each other even though they want to kill one another. What I'm going to need is 3 guys to play Sith. One will be a leader who is somewhat feminine yet deadly. The other two are his apprentices. I also need costumes (Jedi, militia, Sith) and props (lightsabers, guns, etc.) I'd appreciate any help or info. This should be a fun thing to do.

 

Funny thing is today was we (me & Jedhead1) were working on a friend's fan film. So I guess now we're "experienced"..lol...Also between the 2 of us...we have loads of costumes & props.

 

Hey I'd love to help and this would definetly give me some expeience when it comes time for Rogue Squadrons own fan film (if ever...). I have a Jedi outfit and am well trained in the Jedi arts. Double-bladed, single, two sabers, Lightsaber Combat Forms 1-7... I'm just that good.

 

Damn Tenken, Yoda eat your heart out. As far as cast, what I need now is 2 Sith. One tall and trim, and can play the role kind of effeminite yet deadly. He's kind of like Tim Roth in Rob Roy if youve seen it. The other Sith will be his apprentice. No real physical qualifications other than he is around 5'10 or so. The two main characters are already cast (including myself). I also do need 1 or two Jedi for a flashback scene. Domo Arigato for the interest. Is everyone in the forum based in SF?

Thanks Raven, I'll definitely let you know. The shooting probably won't start for a while. I'm just touching up the script and getting props and costumes together will be the hard part. I still have to story board, then choreograph fight scenes. As far as cast, it's pretty much set, accept for what I mentioned. I also need a person for CG. I've talked to a couple guys on the Fanfilm forum who are interested.

 

Unfortunately I only have a Jedi outfit but I wouldn't mind playing a Sith. Hell I'll play two roles is necessary Jedi and Sith! Just hope I don't end up fighting myself. I dunno who will win... Ah what am I saying?! I will win of course! lol
Anyway, Yoda is a Form IV specialist and it's my favorite form as well because it looks so blasted cool. I have told that I have decent range as an actor but that was a sloppy high school production of "Raisin in the Sun" but apparently I played a convincing black man. Even though I'm technically Asain. Anyway, we can discuss all this stuff and the next Fan Force meeting but in the mean time keep us posted here as well!

 

I'd love to help, I am an experienced Director of several short films. I also edit, composite, rotoscope, etc. I can do anything except for CGI.

The Rock can act. The Rock can play a sith. The Rock can put on one hell of a lightsaber battle. The Rock wants to be in this film. If ya smealalalalallll what the Rock is.....

 

The question for the Rock is this then... Can the Rock speak in the first person? lol What is you name btw? Even though it doesn't matter what your name is It would be nice to know for future reference and all. Nothing in your bio that I see, so please let us know more about thyself.

My name's Andy by the way. I'm a student at the Academy of Art. I know Desiree, as I'm sure a couple people here do. This film is going to be sweet. As soon as I can bring myself to stop nitpicking at the script, I'll try to set up how I can meet with people and discuss props and acting and what not. Gracias amigos

 

Good to know Andy! Des is a sweetheart. Where are you at her birthday party?? I was actually wondering what The Rock's name was (even though it doesn't matter... ) And if you say Dwayne Johnson, I'll Stone Cold Stunner some sense back in to ya! lol
