I'm getting SO sick of sewing! I don't even want to touch any thread or needles until at LEAST tomorrow.


I can't wait till the next shoot date, but we have to go to Speaker's Corner this time!

SATURDAY JULY 19, 2003

Scene 6 - Looks very good, however need to reshoot a close up of Deb and I and me catching the remote.

Scene 7 - Went awesomely! One of Heaths lines DID disappear though, so it maybe fixed or whatever. Depending on how the edit looks we may reshoot his dialogue.

Scene 11 - Went very well, may want to get some close ups of Allison though, and a couple of Deb

Scene 13 - Was pretty good. We need to shoot Darius' lines and get a close up of Matt saying "Yes my Lord"

Scene 14 - Great look just have to shoot a close up of Deb looking at the device (I looked at the camera! )

Scene 21 - Great!

Scene 8 - Good, needs some talented splicing

Scene 24 - After some talk Jake and I decided to redo this one totally. One reason is I looked at teh camera like 5 times, lol!


SUNDAY JULY 20 2003

Scene 9 - Went VERY well lots of splicing needed though, sometimes that camera went out of focus.

Scene 25A, 31, and 34 - SUPER! Jake your voice when calm is frightening!

Scene 28 - Its alright...might want to reshoot my closeup

Scene 5 - Perfect

Scene 27 - Perfect

Scene 41 - Great but a few close ups are needed.

Scene 18 - Great! May need to add something in between this and 19 though.

Scene 19 - Great! Jake, Janet almost cried at this scene and your delivery

Scene 2 - Good...need to CG those lamps.

Scene 4 - Good

Scene 12 - Well done!


We got a total of 20 scenes done out of 41!

And when you redo scene 24, Jake can have his own costume, since it's almost done, I just need to get some new needles for the sewing machine, I keep snapping them off by hitting pins!

Oh I forgot one part.

Either Derf or Mal has to see the ship land, when we merged the scenes we forgot that! oops

 

Scene 7 - Went awesomely! One of Heaths lines DID disappear though, so it maybe fixed or whatever. Depending on how the edit looks we may reshoot his dialogue.

For this you can use a cut away and do his dialogue ADR that way you don't have to set everything up for that again. Just have him resay the line in a quiet area and when I edit it I can fix that for you. Just need a cutaway shot.


And any bluescreen we can do at Niagara in September Justin. We have the facilities for it. If you want to do ADR that might be tricky as the ADR facilities are no longer used for that but I think we can arrange something. We have some decent mixxing studios.

Thats what I was thinking. In fact I was thinking there will be alot of ADR...the StormTrooper creaked alot and teh one mic really sucked lol!

Unless theres a way to filter the sound.

The smaller first year studio has a blue screen...we have to set it up and tape it but that doesn't take much effort. And if you need more pannels there are tonnes in the back...remind me when I am back at school and I will tlak to my department head about it. It will likely be on a weekend because the first semester is pretty slow for first years.

 

Weekends are prefered

 

Finally! all the costumes are done except for some final fittings.... and then I went and bought some more material to make a new cloak for myself. I'm getting quite a collection....

 

Sounds awesome You kind of already know my schedule, Justin! Weren't there a couple lines in scene 6 that disappeared as well? (I remember from when we were watching it).

Gotcha. Sorry, it was late when I wrote that and I wasn't thinking I knew we filmed it somewhere!

I'm available as of August 18th. The only thing that might interfere with that is SFX, which I'm not sure I'm going to yet, but I'm sure that others will be.

Yes, ironic. Purely coincidental, I must add Though actually I'm probably just free as of the night. My license expires that day and I have to get an extension on it from Aurora or I won't be able to take my G test in London on the 26th. That being said, unless we have a shooting date before then, I'll be moving in to my place in London on Aug 26 so I'll definitely be there as of that date.

 

Well looking at everyones schedules it may bebetter to finish up in September.

I am still looking for a place in St. Catharines and a job as well as planning teh moving thing

I don't want to wait too long but if Mid-September works for some then I can go for that....

UNLESS I can get a few in the next couple weeks...

 

Actually that will be perfect. I can likely help about midseptember and will hopefully have some of my costume ready.

 

I guess part of this depends on whether we can still shoot at Fansh. and borrow their equipment when Justin is no longer a student there.

 

Exactly...I'm going to be looking into it though.

I would ideally like to get as much done this month as possible...

 

Well if I am back into school myself I can talk to some of my professors and see if some of our equipment is available.
