NorthEast Fanfilms for FF awards -- question and dicussions thread- Update- submissions are finally all in !

Ok, last year we only had one fanfilm submission..... are there any other chapters in the NE who would like to submit aa fanfilm this time for the 2007 awards?

I guess I am putting this up now since it will give everyone time to maybe toss something together before the awards

there is a theater here locally that is willing to show them all on one day if we have enough.
I think it would be cool to show them to the general public like that and have them vote on it

Thoughts on this ?

 

I know pittsburgh has a fanfilm.. would they like to show it there?

 

We're kicking around ideas and hope to enter a FF this year.

 

I really hope we have more than one entry this year

 

What do you mean by NE..lol.. Sorry I am only a newb to a few things.. Maybe after christmas if I get a good camera like Cannon or something.. and I need a DVD drive to install my latest video editing software onto my computer.

That is what we're referring to as the NorthEast (NE) region of FanForce.
Unfortunately Ireland doesn't count in this case.

just up'ong this to remind everyone that if they will be having a Fanfilm submission for this years awards too have them submitted by March 31st. If for some reason you need an ext on the Deadline, please PM me with your reasons and submission date.

It would be great to get a few more entries in this category.

The link for last year's winner is in my sig. Its should inspire folks because after you watch it you should be saying to yourself "We could do better than that"

 

Strawbary, I see 2 different dates listed for the deadline. I thought it was supposed to be March 31?

I want to remind everyone that the Fanfilms submissions are to be made by the chapter as a whole. Not by an individual.
I actually had a few people try to submit some that arent even in FanForce. Which is why I am posting this. Hope that helps clear things up a bit.

 

I wanted to make a fan film this summer which would be too late for this year's contest. It's problematic though. I don't belong to a chapter, because there isn't one here in northern Vermont. We're too busy trying to keep warm I guess (which is also the reason any fan film won't be filmed until milder weather, or segregate from the Union LOL. Guess I could join Massachusetts or somthing

we are waiting for one in the mail from Long Island...... we have 3 submissions total
Should be a nice variety this year
I have no idea how long the LI one is. But the other 2 are both around 5 min so short and sweet Depending on the size of LI we may have time to play these at the awards

I will be uploading them all soon and this category is technically viewers choice so, I am still trying to figure out how voting will work. I am pondering over having everyone email their votes and confirm who they are or have them PM a GSA this way no one can vote more than once.
