I don't know if this Expedia link will work, but it's the Day's Inn Monroeville.
It's really close (aprox 2 miles), but obviously not as close as the Radisson.

Also - and this applies even to folks who aren't making the trip to the ceremony itself - which awards do we want to shoot for? Here's the list from last year:

I can write something up for the Leia Award that details all the community service work we've done. I can also go through and send in some group pictures of us in costume for the Queen Amidala Award. We're probably in the running for the Luke Award too, depending on what time frame they're basing this on.

I thought perhaps the C-3PO Award too, until I saw Boston, NYC, and Pittsburgh's numbers. [face_laugh] Tom and I now have 4 mannequins/dress forms (and Diane has 2) for extra costumes too, if we wanted to display our other costumes in our photos.

First I want to focus on what awards we want to compete for and then nominate other chapters for the rest. ;)

I just received this PM from the CR of Pittsburgh's FF
KnightShade, Connor and I are planning on attending the banquet. If anyone else is and doesn't have a PayPal account of their own I would be willing to send in your payment along with ours.

The Comicon Site has posted the online links for purchasing tickets. Prices as follows:

One Day Pass $17.00 (per person)
Two Day Pass $34.00 (per person)
Three Day Pass $45.00 (per person)

It looks as if rooms in the Radisson (the recommended) hotel may already be gone. I am checking into it now.

Okay here's the story. The Radisson still has "some" rooms available but not online or through consolidators (that I found). If you call their local reservations desk Telephone: (412) 373-7300 they can get them at the ComiCon Rate of $96/night. If you need rollaway beds that is $15 extra.

Scotty Are you cool with that? I have held one room for now but would like to know asap.

96/3 = 32 a night plus we might get a few others in our room.
    Go for it Mike.

    We'll live.
I dont think we'll need extra beds.
If you cant double up a bed or the bed is full, they'll eat floor.
I'm already planning on packing a sleeping bag and pillow just in case.

Darren...I'm thinking we are which means we get the party hotel with all the all-night stuff and an elevator ride is easier than finding parking :)

Tom...if I blew that up and laid on it, it would have a life expectancy of maybe 15 minutes. :)

LOL Tom that's great. It would be so funny to come in and find Scott on one of those.

Darren, I think we are but with two or three folks it won't be that bad.

I was just going to order my tickets for this con when I remembered hearing about getting in free on Sunday if you wear a costume. So I have an email out to the con runnners to see if I should be ordering a 2-day pass for $34 or the 3-day pass for $45. I'll let folks know what I hear back...

Just heard back from Renee George from PCC. She said that we would just need to get a 2-day pass. For Sunday as long as we wear our costume when we enter the con in the morning we get a free pass for the day even if later on we take the costume off.

EDIT: KnightShade and I are now all set for our con tickets.
