I know we're all aching to show off our Epic Duel skills and Stratego which I have never played), so I'm proposing a Game Night sometime SOON!

This weekend is out because of Thanksgiving (I know that at least Wolf and I will be going home and that's not giving much notice anyway). How does the weekend after Thanksgiving (Sat Oct 19 or Sun Oct 20) look for everyone?

Post your time preferences in this thread, and then we can decide which one is better, hopefully all of us will be able to make it. (We can also move it to a weekday if enough people like that better, I am just assuming that people will be more available on weekends).

Oh, and if you have never played either of these games, don't worry! I've never played Stratego, but I know that Epic Duels is really easy to learn and completely addictive and FUN!

Sunday afternoon is best for me too.

And, for all to see, I am calling dibs on Obi-Wan for the first game of Epic duels...and *might* allow someone else to play him after...

    :p :D

    Looking forward to it.

LOL fine, then I'm calling dibs on Anakin/Padmé for the first game.

If anyone else wants to call dibs for the first game, here are your choices! (minor characters in brackets). Don't worry, I'm sure we'll all get to play all the characters eventually so don't worry if the one you want to call has already been taken. All the characters have their pros and cons but they are all about the same level, playing wise. We can play good-evil or do a free for all.

    THE GOOD
    Obi-Wan (2 clone troopers) - Jake
    Anakin (Padmé) - Deb
Yoda (2 clone troopers) - Matt
    Mace (2 clone troopers)
    Han (Chewie) - Sarah
    Luke (Leia) - Justin

    THE BAD
    Darth Vader (2 storm troopers)
    Dooku (2 superdroid things)
    Maul (2 trade federation droids)
    Jango (Zam)
    Boba (Greedo)
    Emperor (2 crimson guards)

Depends on what you want to do....

Mace is a great guy to run up and deal damage.

Yoda likes to sit back and control the show. Same with Palply.

Vadar has some mean attack cards, not great on defense.

Han and Chewie bombard the enemy from a distance.

Jango(Zam), and Boba (greedo) like the hit and run tactics.

Maul is a one trick pony, but it's a hell of trick when it works.

    Dooku.....well, I haven't really figured out Dooku :)

Dooku doesn't have much defense. I actually like Boba better than Jango, attackwise.

I think after the first game we should do random, like we did with YJN.

For sure, what I'm really looking forward to though is a good-vs-evil match, not a free for all.

(OT) Wolf and I played 3 games of Epic Duels tonight, good vs. evil. The first two games he beat me, but the third game had a really cool ending! He was evil, I was good. He had Vader still alive, and I had Obi-Wan, Han, Chewie, Luke, Luke, Yoda, and Mace (yes, I really whooped his ass that game, but it didn't feel that good since he had beaten me twice already). Anyway, I used "Chewie's "Bowcaster" card to take him down 11 points, then used Obi's "Force Control" on Vader to catapult him into the one empty space surrounded by Han, Chewie, Mace and Yoda. I had one Chewie card left, Vader was two away from dead (and so was Chewie). So I said "Vader, the Wookiee needs to tell you something important" and Vader said "Ya, s'up?" Then I slowly smiled and delivered the killer (ha ha) line (and card). "Darthy, it's not wise to upset a Wookiee," And with that, Vader was DONE, and evil was vanquished from the galaxy!
(BTW Wolf, you two wins were really nicely done, but I had the best closing statement)!
Hehehe! The game is coming home with me this weekend - how could some cardboard and little pieces of plastic be so much fun?

Yes yes, the last game i really got nailed into the ground... I just couldn't pull anything good off and i didn't get alot of my good cards very fast.

Overall it was a great night! I'm still up 2 games to 1 though deb :)
