I was looking at plane tickets today. Would I be flying in the Heathrow when I hop the pond to see you guys?

Is it just me or do all American women love British men? Honestly? I think its that accent. How come then it's not the other way around. Although I guess American men go after the Italians and Sweedish. LOL

 

Actually, I've been told by more than one British lady that they were attracted to men with American accents. I think it depends on the accent though.

 

I think alot of women are attracted to men with strong accents because they see it as something 'exotic' but there actually is a scientific psychological and biological answer to why humans are attracted to partners that are from far flung places, it's all about diversity of genes...

I love strong accents and American accents are lovely but I don't like that redneck kind of accent though, I've heard someone on TV lately with a Philadelphia accent and that is a nice one

I absolutely go weak at the knees for Scottish, Soft Irish, Welsh and American accents though!

You could fly into Heathrow (LHR), but London is about 120 miles away from the Midlands. Our local airports are either Birmingham International Airport (BHX), or perhaps you might be able to get a flight to Nottingham East Midlands Airport (EMA), but I'm not sure what airlines fly there from Philadelphia, if any at all. Birmingham is our area's main airport and would be your best bet.

Welcome to our friends in the UK. I have relatives living over there in London and Wales, so I'm no stranger to you Brits. The quiet, reserved English. LOL

 

That stereotype has been quickly dashed by FFUK.

 

Joe, you could also look at Manchester airport as an alternative to London or Birmingham. It's about as far from the Midlands as London, but may have better flights. Not really sure.

Whichever you come in on, it's not gonna be a problem, cos we'll arrange for a pick-up

I live only 20 minutes drive from Manchester Airport so Manchester is no problem if you're stuck until someone can pick you up

 

I forgot about Manchester Airport...Or for that matter, you could fly in to John Lennon International (Liverpool Airport) - just make sure you don't have anything on you worth stealing!

 

I want to go to England someday!!
