Indi, IN FanForce Username Titles

I/We've been given the OK to assign titles to our club's leaders. The line's been drawn at actual positions and what not, so sorry, not everyone can have a title...they're supposed to be usefully informative mind you.

Anyhow, I've probably missed some people, but I've assigned titles already to the following people:

Incom4: Pres
Whojedi: VP
YodaOnMyLeg: Webmaster
Emerald_Greene: City Rep (I'll add book club leader as well)

So what's missing? Titles are in the following format:

FanForce Blah Blah Blah or FF Blah Blah Longer
Indianapolis IN USA

 

Queen-KarenDala - Secretary
JediMasterDan - Treasurer

 

Done...any other significant sigs need them?

 

Can we give the SIG moderators titles too

Here's YJN's post in the City Rep forum...read into it as you will:

...Since then, the Admin. have agreed to allow the use of ?Titles? to honour some of the more notable/helpful/positioned people within the Official FF Chapters of FanForce.

Please note:
I am only suggesting this honour be awarded to people that attend and are actively involved in Official FF Chapters, not every Tom, Dick, and Harry out there.

This ?honour? is to become one of the added benefits to becoming and forming a FF Chapter, much like the chapter icons, banners, and unlimited edit time that is given to fully formed FF Chapters.
To add to that: It?s also an added incentive for a member to become more involved in the organization and implementation of the FF Chapter itself within the community.

As some of you know it takes more than just one person to make a chapter successful. The organization of events, activities, and structuring of existing chapters can and often does take a far bit of time to make events run smoothly.
And I think those people should be outwardly thanked for their support and donated time.

For someone to be given a ?title? it would have to be discussed between you (the City Reps) and your RSA?s first. A valid and detailed reason should be give as to why a title should be awarded. That would be up to the RSA?s discretion whether to approve or disapprove the ?Title?. (?Caretaker of sharpened pencils? is NOT a valid reason to give a title.)

I?ve proposed a trial run of 3 months to see how well, or how poorly, the general users would accept the idea. If it becomes a problem, we simple remove the ?awards? and tell them the reasoning behind the reversal.

I don't think Ken would mind that I brought the discussion here, but bascially if you think a title is "necessary" you suggest it to your RSA (me) and then it's up to me to decide....so, guess what, I'm one for giving pretty much anyone in a position of power ( ) a title.

My only thought is to stay away from the term "moderator" as it may confuse non-FF types. Also, it would be nice to have something that you wouldn't have to decipher...no one outside of here knows what InCA is. Also, there's a 50 character limit I think, which would include the html codes for <br>Indianapolis IN USA ...so 23 are taken with that and FF has to be there to, so 26 characters. After that I'm open to whatever.
