now it may take some thinking but it doesn't necessarily mean the SS eats planets from the TV spot

I was taking it from a non comic-familiar person's view.

I've seen the trailer for the Silver Surfer and it looks awesome! I can't wait to see it.

"Really good" is FOUR out of 4 stars. 2.5 is "nothing special" at best. Which speaks too highly of F4, which should get a rating according to "nothing watchable." I have read about 3 F4 comics in my whole life, but even I recognize incompetent screenwriting, character arcs, and plot complications when I see them. This was the movie you would expect from collection of drunk college freshman, not alleged professionals.

I'm probably one of few that actually enjoyed the F4 movie. Okay I mean sure it wasn't great compared to other super-hero movies but it was good nontheless.

Well its Tomato rating hovered around 25%,with some of the alleged "good" reviews having nothing to say but "Well its not so bad." Theres a confidence booster. It not only doesnt compare well to Superman Returns, but its hardly worth mentioning in the same sentence as Superman IV. The build-up to Doom as a villian, and his eventual emergence as an alleged "intellect" was just dead on arrival. With 40 years of comics to draw from, I didnt hear a single good line of dialogue from anyone, let alone the greatest villian in the Marvel Universe.

True, nothing can compare to Superman Returns (if you mean that in a good way). And I agree on that part with Dr. Doom. You expect the villian to be great but Dr. Doom was just bland and stale. There was nothing all that exciting about him. Julian is a good actor but maybe he should just stick to Charmed or Nip Tuck.

i don't have high expectations for the FF4 movies like I do for movies such as Spider-Man, Superman, etc. it's sort of a nice break from the seriousness of the other comic movies

    Michael Chiklis = The Thing

Best casting so far for a sub-par comic book movie ever.

i think Chris Evans hit Johnny Storm/Human Torch spot on. him and Chiklis for Ben Grimm/The Thing are the best casting for the series so far

I'll see it on sunday with my dad and little sis.

Oh, from RT: They should have called Galactus Twistus instead because he appears as a left-over special effect from Twister [face_plain]
