Is the Hutt book ever going to release? I guess you can't hurry a Hutt, but still...

Hrmm... yeah, that is weird. I mean it looks cool and all, but they traded in the unique old style for a generic sci-fi cyborg. I was partial to the old one because it was quirky.

Just a different helmet design as far as I could tell.

 

Yes. And he's about one mouthguard away from a copyright lawsuit with my lawyers.

 

Also the guy/gal to the left also only have three fingers, unlike their original portrait


Personally I find the new helmet design uninspired and generic

 

Though could be because the hands seems to be a cyborg addition.

There may be a number of different Gank helmets, though.

 

Different helmets for different prey? What might inspire dread in one species might result in gales of laughter from another. I, personally, would not want to be walking around with a helmet that looks like a Herglic's nether regions, for example.

The Nebula-B that comes in the Core Set is the Redemption (don't know if this is old news or not) and one of the CR-90 ships is called the Jaina's Light. Looks like booth Anakin and Jaina got ships named after them (after the Second Civil War, I imagine there's a garbage tug somewhere called Jacen's Penance).

The "character cards" for the Corvette in X-Wing include the Jaina's Light too (besides the Tantive IV).

 

Oh, interesting, I didn't know that. I never got into the Tales series ..... and I never looked at the cards for the X-Wing CR-90 (I just bought for the awesome mini and ignored the cards ). Still, nice to see that FFG are still making references to everything.

 

I think the general rule is "never name a ship after somebody who is still alive".

Yeah, the EU references just roll on. Xim versus the Hutts, the Battle of Nar Shaddaa, even Zorba and the Hutt Republic Chancellor. Also, references to the most recent seasons of CWAS.
Pretty detailed list of the various Hutt clans, which I don't think has really been done before.

Anything on Hutt money?

 

Nothing I could see. There could be bits and pieces, but there's no section on the matter. However, they do go into great detail of the economy of Hutt Space.

Also, there's a great elaboration on the mysterious "heart" of Hutt Space that was introduced in Essential Atlas, including (for the Fleet Junkies) mention of some of the larger Hutt capital ships. (I assume they weren't statted because they aren't found outside that region during the RE, as the Empire wouldn't tolerate it)

 

Nice So hopeing it shows up at the store before Friday.
