VIDEO Far Cry 4

I absolutely loved Far Cry 3, one of the best shooters i've played in a while and easily the best of the Far Cry series. Far Cry 4 has been announced for November. Prepare to cry with laughter (no, it's not fake):

 

I see they've decided to take the Saints Row route.

Found Far Cry 3 boring after beating the storyline

 

'The game was boring after I finished it'. Well yes, you've finished it.

 

One thing they could have done more with in 3 is the camera. The scenery in 3 was stunning and I would have loved it if I could share the pictures, maybe like in GTA V. As for it being boring after the campaign? I ran around collecting all the relics that I missed and hunting achievements. Really looking forward to this though.

 

They used my favorite rapper to market this game.

I wouldnt' call Far Cry 3 the best; I loved the hell out of it and any MP shooter that pits Somali Pirates against barefoot Maori warriors (jp-30) deserves respect. I love the idea of "I BEAT IT AND THERE'S NO MORE FUN STORY" as a criticism...

Far Cry 2 was my favourite, just because it didn't have the whole magic tattoo thing. And it really set the stage for this African wilderness. But alas, yes, I'm pretty damned stoked for Far Cry 4. Basically anything that's not Far Cry 1, which was pretty but stupid once the monsters showed up (pretty but stupid being what I dislike about FPS, and incidentally what most peoples seem to love) is going to be fun.

 

So, anybody playing this, now that it's out?

 

I have it but I can't play it yet, I need a bigger HDD.

OK, so FC4 is more like FC3 than FC3 was like FC2, if that makes sense.

I'm just saying, though... I ride elephants. And I used the elephant to knock over a passing combi van full of civs. They died, it flipped 4 times and I lost 50 karma. But I just want to reiterate... I rode an elephant. It bashed a combi van.

FC4 is more like FC3 than FC3 is like FC2.

I still love Far Cry 2 the most though.

 

Sounds like GTA V one some form of a drug. I wouldn't mind riding elephants and flipping vehicles.

 

I never could get into the other far cry games . hated the malaria thing. To me far cry 3 was do epic

 

I've played it awesome storyline from start to finish Im glad to be a local in this one instead of landing on a island in Far Cry 3 I bet they will make 10 Far Cry's in future games a bold prediction but hey a guy can dream, great performance by Troy Baker/Pagan Min as the bad guy in this one.

 

I agree but enough exploring & friend feedback got me interested.

 

The malaria thing was good; you had no magical syringes and tattoos or similar. And it meant you had this weakness to manage too, so it meant you weren't an ubermensch hero despite relative humble beginnings.

 

I can see how that would appeal to some but I don't personally need the extra challenge. I loved the whole big island thing. My favorite thing was taking down outposts. I would have taken a dlc with a bunch if outposts and a outpost maker/ editor than a whole new game

 

What challenge though? You had to make sure you do malaria missions, that's it.

I feel like you got maybe 20mins into the game.

 

I'll be honest, I probably spent a couple hours on it tops . but the feel if 3 was just better to me.
