LOL! Sounds like everyone is still trapped.

We made it home from Katsucon fine on Sunday (we stayed at the host hotel so we wouldn't have to go back and forth in crappy weather). Driving home on Sunday was big fun (NOT) but we survived it okay. The con was groovy but I never saw Mitt; don't even know if she made it!

We're back. We hope never to see another hotel buffet ever again, and are very much looking forward to Chinese for dinner. A great time was had by all, as the convention merely continued. I'm sure, once the shock of not being in a hotel wears off, we'll report with all kinds of tales.

I didn't make it to Katsucon. Snow scare and sickness made me miss it. Meh. Conventions should be more then one weekend, like Renn Faire.

Well, I was there on Saturday...
because of the snow, I arrived a little later than I anticipated...
    probably about 12:30.
I was one of only 2 Jedi there on Saturday...
wearing the costume seen in the pic I posted earlier, and in the company of a very good friend who was dressed up as "Silent Bob"! :D
So, we hung a little with the other Jedi and his Stormtrooper friend from the Fighting 501st, but no one from the Galactic Senate ever said "Hi" or "hey" or "Die Jedi dog!" or anything! :(
    But I don't care....
'cuz I got to meet Gil Gerard! :D :D :D

I never saw you! I'd have said hi, I really would.

And I was in Jedi garb as well, but it was later in the day.

Well, I never saw you, either. I sat in on the events with Gil Gerard & Erin Gray, and the one with Armin Shimmerman. When I wasn't doing that, I was walking around in the dealer's room, looking at other activities such as the art show, taking pics of 501st members, etc. And I stayed until after 6, if I remember correctly.
    Oh well, there's always Balticon!
    .... if I get to go. [face_plain]

We probably passed in the hall a million times! We'll figure something better out for Balticon.

Or... come to a meeting and then I'll recognize you!

    I don't know....
I was keeping my eyes open, but only saw the one other Jedi.
And I looked just like in that pic....
    same costume and everything.
Only things different were A) I was carrying a repro of Kit Fisto's saber this time, and B) there was no blade or Clone Wars background present! ;)

Well, I changed into costume later on - so you may have fled the blizzard by then!

Actually, the blizzard was NOTHING on Saturday. A couple inches in the morning, then clear most of the afternoon.
    That wasn't the issue.
I left a little after 6 for 2 main reasons:
    1) It was BORING once 6 rolled around. Everything was winding down, except preparations for the costume masquerade.
    2) I had tickets for Daredevil at Muvico Egyptian 24 for a 9:55 showtime. I had to get back home (about an hour away from the con) to change and get ready to go to the movie. :)
