Fat Biker Scout

A lot of people are pretty convinced of Stormtroopers being clones. But in RotJ one of the scouts who captured Leia is really ehm fat. Or big boned. Isn't a clone an exact copy of its original? If this is so, then Stormtroopers aren't clones.

 

You have two clones.
One eats a whole pig every day.
The other eats a cucumber.
Do you think they will have the same size?

Let's just say Jango wasn't on a diet when he made that clone.

 

I've seen lots of fat biker scouts and stormtroopers. Haven't you ever seen pictures from a 'Star Wars' convention?

 

Really? Well, the clonetroopers in AotC all looked the same to me. And Jango was put on a permanent diet by a certain Mace. So the fat biker scout couldn't have been cloned from him directly.

Of course, they were all the same CG-model, just painted a bit differently here and there

 

We were meant to think they were clones. So I'm thinking "Hey, whaddayaknow, clones. Ain't that something. All look the same to me." And now you're telling me they look the same not because they're clones, but because they're CG?

I dunno. You said Of course, they were all the same CG-model, just painted a bit differently here and there.

 

They look the same, because they're clones. To achieve that, they used CGI, instead of actors of varying height and weight.

 

O.k., so clonetroopers all look the same, because they're clones. So clones all look the same! So why is there this fat biker scout? Because he is not a clone.

Not all stormtroopers are clones. And not all clone stormtroopers are clones of Jango. Simple.

 

O.k., so clonetroopers all look the same, because they're clones. So clones all look the same! So why is there this fat biker scout? Because he is not a clone.

Clones look the same given the same conditions (like the ones on Kamino). One clone walks a lot in his job. The other sits his lazy butt on a speederbike all day. Which one is in better shape?

 

You don't just sit on a speeder bike. That's a high tech powerful piece of equipment. It takes a lot of practice and training to ride one of those properly! Look at bike racers. They're slim, little guys. And F-1 drivers are some of the best trained sportsmen around!

 

and if it were a clone of jango, maybe this person finds it simply delectable to have snacky cakes.

That too. The AotC clones all had the same daily routine (or close enough).

 

The point everybody is trying to get at is this:

The clones on Kamino were a fresh batch on a very routine schedule that they all shared.
So of course they're all going to looking extremely similar especially in body-hiding armor.
After the Battle of Geonosis, the clones were no longer held to a strict identical routine as many were seeing feild duty. That leaves room for all kinds of variables to happen. A higher gravity planet will make one shorter. A lesser gravity planet will make one taller. A diet a clone is forced to eat on different planets will affect his weight. Different suns will affect complexion and maybe even hair color. And that's just physical! No telling the countless ways their personalities were affected.
Plus, that's just the clones of Jango. Seeing as how he's dead, they'll need a new source and might very well get one in EpIII.
Whether or not you choose to believe they're all clones or not is up to you. But this is not a good example for that argument at all I'm afraid.
The best one would be to cite the different sounding voices as it would be very hard to get a change of voice. But even then there's dozens of ways around it. One hard to bark orders for too long on a battle feild and thus, has a gruffer voice. Another was sent on many missions where he had to whisper, thus his voice is affected there too. Another drank many hot liquids. Another was on a planet where it affected his allergies, thus all the muckas in his throat for so long affected his voice. Another inhaled so much smoke from so many battles. Another one's throat became so parched from desert patrol for so long.

Now for the real world vision. Wether or not Lucas always intended them to be clones could be argued till Hell/Hades/Earth's Core freezes over. But either way, he was more concerned with filling up the armor with people period and not making them as identical as he possibly could. CG has since fixed that problem.

Clone Fuun Faacts:
All cloning will do in real world standards is give you a copy of that person. Depending on certain variables, you could wind up from a complete different-looking person in the end. Starting from the top and working our way down.

HAIR: Different haircuts. Different hair lengths. If the person went to a salon, different hair styles. Depending on how much sun each got, different hues to their hair color. Did either one dye their hair?

EYESIGHT: Did one lose an eye? Did one go blind? Does one spend a lot of time indoors/outdoors? Did something affect the other one's vision in some way?

EARS: Is one exposed to noise/silence quite often? Did one ever get an ear infection?

NOSE: Did either one break their's somewhere down the line? Get a bad sinus affection?

MOUTH/TEETH: How chapped has one's lips been? Does one eat a lot of sweets? Did one do something to affect the way the teeth grew in? What about dental hygien? Does one smoke or drink coffee? Has one broken their jaw?

OVERALL COMPLEXION: Does one get a lot of sun and the other one sit in front of a computer all day? Does one have scars?

BODY TYPE: How much excersize does one get? Does one stretch a lot? Does one workout? Does one eat a lot? Does one have low self esteem or another cause to make them slouch? Any serious injuries?

I'll stop there because you should be catching on by now.

CLONE 1: Spends his time outdoors a lot next to busy traffic. He lives in the tropics, so his eyesite is affected, as is his skin. He likes to surf, so does a lot of physical activity. While surfing, he broke his nose. He's popular with the ladies however, and shaves his head frequently. He smokes.

CLONE 2: Spends his time indoors in front of his computer all day long. He is not popular at all, and has had a hard life. he rarely get's haircuts, his eyes are in bad shape from looking at screens, and artificial light all day. His room is quiet, but he has terrible sinuses. He never excersizes, and the bullies pick on him. e's had his jaw broken twice, and his nose once. His teeth came in crooked. He doesn

 

I chaulk it up to bad casting decisions. Or a clone found the emperors secret stash of gummi bears

 

A higher gravity planet will make one shorter. A lesser gravity planet will make one taller.
