To celebrate the beginning of the new Fate of the Jedi series, the EUC presents the Fate of the Jedi Fan Club! Set two years after the tragic death of Darth Caedus, the Jedi Order face a new threat, one which threatens to be more deadly than any Luke Skywalker has faced before. With Admiral Daala leading the new Galactic Alliance, how bad will things get in this intriguing 9 hardcover series!

To bring people up to speed on the events of the past, Random House has helpfully created a Fate of the Jedi website, complete with a free-to-download dramatis personae!

Our next two hardcovers have had their covers revealed, and the fourth title has been released - Backlash. Incredibly intriguing blurbs have been surfacing around the Internet, and those are giving us some tremendously fun hints as to how things are to go. All spoilers for anything after Outcast has to stay hidden behind black highlight-to-read (htr) for now, but the blurbs are looking increasingly interesting. Luke Skywalker and the galaxy are heading towards their greatest adventure yet!

Outcast was pretty good. I was surprise because it's the first novel that gave Jag a personality.:p

Did you guys love the quality time for Luke and Ben? It's great to have them working together.

I didn't think it was drawn out enough in LOTF to be considered a personality.:p

I did it made me like Ben alot. I think it made him like a teenager more so than any of the Solos when they were teenagers.

The nice part is that Ben seems to have a wonderful sense of humor and a level head. I'm really liking his character.

Just about to start reading Outcast. Good ol' Darth RL prevented me from doing so earlier. But I've heard quite a lot of good things about it, I think I will join the ranks of the FOTJ FC sooner or later. ;)

Agreed, this book made me a Ben fan. Didn't care for him much in legacy.

Maybe he inherited his personality more from Mara, instead of the whiny Skywalker's.:p

FotJ is off to a really interesting start thanks to Outcast, and I hope it stays that way. My favorites parts so far were the scenes on Coruscant and finally showing the planet Dorin and the Baran Do Sages.

That reminds me, I gotta pre-order Omen soon.

I loved the scene at the temple when they came to take Valin, Cilghal was priceless. When she made Capt. Oric Harfard feel like he need the restroom was hysterical, and then asking if anyone called him Orry, I bet it will be awhile before he calls her fishhead again.=D=

That was a great a scene, infact I have to say that Outcast had more humor than LOTF books did all together. It was refreshing really.

Well I can honestly say that I hated the NJO and the Legacy series. It seemed like it all went downhill from Chewie's, Anakin's, and Mara's deaths. But this is refreshing. It looks like the writers are redeeming themselves. And yes, Luke and Ben were hilarious! And I envy Jag's crush gaunts. I want some.

I've read Sacrifice 3 times and cry like a baby each time. The opening of Inferno was sheer torture to read. :_| I'm hopeful FotJ is going to be what we've all been waiting for, and then some.

Also, the crush gaunts are awesome, I went nuts when he finally got Alema's scrawny neck in them.

I don't know, she sure whined and pouted and snarked more than her fair share over the years. Maybe that's what Ben was blocking out. Luke and Mara cancelled each other out, n0ow Ben is neutral.

Yes, Sacrifice was a particularly sad book. I miss Lumiya.

    :p

I absolutely loved Legacy of the Force for including Lumiya, and then for what it promised for Fate of the Jedi. I'm really interested in Jacen's five year journey, so this will be good fun for me. Daala's return was a complete shock, mind you. [face_laugh]

Luke and Ben were awesome in Outcast, and it was good to see Tahiri getting things sorted out. I'd be happy if she ended up with Tarc/Dab - it'd be a nice conclusion to her arc, bless her.

The little fact that Imperials rule the galaxy was a little scary, though - Jag over the Remnant, Phennir over the Confederation and Daala over the Galactic Alliance. Did anyone else find that really surprising - that it happened all of a sudden and we didn't notice?
