PT Favorite character who died in the prequels

Natalie Portman is a beaut. There's no doubt about that.

Qui-Gon, the best of a bad bunch

 

Padme easily. She has always been one of my favorite characters from the entire saga. Natalie Portman is beautiful and does a great job portraying her. Her death scene is heart breaking.

 

Qui-Gon Jinn definitely wins my vote here! His death scene was one of those movie deaths that I truly never have gotten over. It gets me every time, even if partly due to the fact that The Phantom Menace has been a childhood favorite since I was 3 when it was released. Nevertheless, he is such a pivotal character. Without Qui-Gon, there is no Anakin in the Jedi Order. I always wondered what would have happened if he hadn't have died. Would he have taken on Anakin as an apprentice after Obi-Wan passed the trials? If so, perhaps there wouldn't have been that Master-Apprentice rift that was constantly between Obi-Wan and Anakin.

 

I LOVED that guy!

 

Difficult choice, but I gotta go with Qui-Gon.

In all seriousness, I do have a soft spot for Aayla Secura and her death scene in ROTS is definitely one of the more sad ones. If I remember correctly, she was shot in the back as she was looking around at some flying creature and then the clones just kept on firing at her dead body.

 

I have to go with Padme, the first film was really about her. ANAKIN & THE Jedi, were just guess stars. The plot revolves around Padme. Naboo vs Trade Federation. We get to know Padme very well. She becomes a secondary character in the next 2 films. Her funeral was the most sad. you could see n feel that she died too early. Of the 4 funerals in the entire saga, hers hurt the most people, heck a whole city mourned for her.

 

I have to go with Qui-Gon as my absolute favorite, but I agree with Lord Chazza about Aayla Secura's death. I'd rank her higher, if we'd spent more time getting to know the character

 

Without a shadow of doubt it's Padme.

I know the list contains only officially dead characters but i would've possibly given my vote to Anakin. Anakin essentialy died in the prequels and Vader was born. If it makes any sense.

 

Yeah but he redeems himself in ROTJ and becomes Anakin again by the end

Out of those I voted qui gon but my fav is Count dooku

 

Mace Windu. I loved Qui-Gon too. Qui-Gon became a force ghost though so I'm not too sad. Mace Windu though... He nearly saved the whole republic by himself. Had it not been for Anakin storming into the room the Jedi purge would never have happened.

 

Qui-Gon Jinn because he is the perfect example of true jedi: always following his instinct and mindful of the Living Force, leaving the future of force.

 

Qui-Gon, he was probably the smartest person in the prequels

 

Yea the funeral scene is sad to watch too, one of the most sad scenes of the PT, Shmis death is also sad.
