Han Solo and Darth Vader are my two favourites. After that I find it very difficult to rank them, so I'm going Oscars' style.

Love the whole Skywalker clan, but if I had to narrow down to (in no particular order): Anakin, Padme, Luke, R2, Leia, and Ahsoka. ( self-edit : I had to remove Mara because she isn't in any of the films )

Ok, just in the films...

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obviously.
2. Darth Vader. I recently had to decide I liked him less than his former master on the This is Madness Contest. I settled on Obi-Wan. It's probably because in the prequels, Ewan Mcgregor brought exactly what was needed for Kenobi, whereas Christensen...well...
3. Dooku. Christopher Lee is my favorite actor of all time, bar none, and had he been used better in the movies (and in the EU, really. Dooku is criminally neglected) he could've been at the top of my list, despite featuring in my least favorite movie.
4. Han Solo. Ladies
5. Maul. He's just so COOL. If you include EU material, Maul and Han switch places really quickly.
6. Yoda. Nifty, he is.
7. Mace Windu. Honestly, who doesn't love Samuel L. Jackson.
8. Jango Fett. Infinitely better than Boba, who literally never does anything, Jango epitomizes the cool, silent killer in the prequels. That being said, Cad Bane, Villie, and Hondo were all better scoundrels, but they're EU material. I strongly recommend the comic Jango Fett - Open Season, even if it does add a whole additional layer of complexity to the Death Watch plot in TCW.
9. General Grievous. He reached his height in the 2003 Clone Wars series (which everybody should watch), but I enjoyed him enough in ROTS to put him on this list. Four lightsabers? Yes please. My only issue with him is that I feel like Dooku should've taken his place throughout ROTS. Because more Christopher Lee is never a bad thing.
10. Palpatine. Good, consistent evil.

The one and only Luke Skywalker. I don't think anyone can even come close to him in Star Wars, be it acting or otherwise. He seems to just blend in somehow and is perfect for his role.

I have always thought Luke was the heart of SW. He's always been my fave of the Big Three of the OT.
