I just cannot decide the order... I think many of the characters work well together rather than individually like C3PO and R2D2. But here is my list, only the top 3 are in order:

My personal Top 10:

10. Lando Calrissian- The Saga's coolest character. He's been fun on Rebels and was sorely missed in Ep 7.
9. Princess Leia- Carrie Fisher brought so much to this terrific character. To think it was nearly Cindy Williams.
8. Captain Rex- Clones are people too!
7. Kylo Ren- Love this new character. I think he's a lot like what Darth Vader would have been had he emerged victorious on Mustafar.
6. Ahsoka Tano- At the risk of this being TMI, but when she was revealed as Fulcrum on Rebels, my son and I ran around our living room yelling in joyous disbelief.
5. Chewbacca- Best.Sidekick.Ever.
4. Obi-Wan (PT/TCW version)- No disrespect to Sir Alec, but Ewan killed it.
3. General Grievous- GL modeled him on Snidely Whiplash, but I also think he has a touch of Dr. Evil in him as well. Everything you want in a comic supervillain.
2. Anakin Skywalker (ROTS)- I think the character all came together in ROTS.
1. Darth Vader- Hands down the greatest cinematic bad-guy of all time.

Here's my list with some explanation.

1. Anakin/Vader - Oh my... You'll see me gushing over him quite often here. He's my absolutely favourite movie character in general. Charismatic, determined, intelligent, passionate, simply fantastic and brilliant, but flawed and relatable at the same time. And yes, Anakin and Vader are the same person for me, two sides of the same coin, although I like his dark side a bit more. I just have a thing for villains.
2. Luke - From an insecure and impatient boy to a wise and courageous Jedi, there's nothing not to like about him. I hope the ST continues his story the way the character deserves it. I'm very touchy when it comes to Luke so don't you dare do or say anything bad about him!
3. Yoda - He's just what any great teacher should be. Never uttered a pointless word, never disappointed, every scene in which he appears is perfect. Frankly, if there was a movie with just him in it talking for hours, I'd watch it on repeat.
4. Obi-Wan (PT) - I have nothing against Sir Alec, he's a true legend, but I liked Ewan's younger version more. And it's especially because it was obvious how much he loved Anakin. Even when he was angry at his padawan, he could never bring himself to be strict with him (if we exclude the ROTS finale, of course). I also respect him for staying true to his principles.
5. Artoo - Yesterday I watched ANH and compared him to BB-8. While I admit BB-8 was cute, I realised R2 is absolutely irreplaceable. It's odd to like this glob of grease so much, but who wouldn't want to have him at home beeping all day?

Guess I got a good reason to revisit this.

Yoda, Artoo, Luke, Han Solo, Rey, Chewie, Leia, Threepio and Finn. Poe, BB-8, Snoke and Phasma are characters I need to see more of.

 

My top five at the moment:

Despite their short screen time, I've always liked Jango Fett and Zam Wesell.

Luke's my favorite character of all time, his character arc is delicious. Seeing him again in TFA was a real treat, something that I thought I'd never see in my entire life.

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi - I could totally relate to him in the PT
2. Darth Vader - preferably the ESB variety
3. Darth Maul - just a cool as heck villain
4. Rey - She's overpowered but I already like her more than Luke
5. Yoda - Preferably the ESB variety
6. Chewbacca - I'd like to have him around as my sidekick
7. Anakin but only in ROTS, didn't like the way Anakin was portrayed in I and II.
8. Luke Skywalker - I could see myself liking the ST version more than the OT version but we'll see.
9. Jango Fett - The Star Wars equivalent of Batman
10. Padme - I didn't like Portman's acting much but she's pretty hawt.

I also like Qui Gon, BB-8, R2-D2, and several minor characters but they didn't fit on the list.
