Favorite explosion in Star Wars...

I'm expecting someone (most people, actually) to say the first Death Star...

My favorite is the second Death Star, it was really intense when Lando flew out with flames closing in behind him...

 

My favorite explosion would be when the Executer smash's into the 2nd Death Star. Awesome sceen.

 

No no no no no...


The best explosion is when Anakin and Obi-Wan are flying in and the Republic Gunship annihilates that Commerce Guild ship.

Jabba's sail barge.

 

For sheer shock value, I'll say Alderaan.

But a more interesting explostion is when the Trade Federation ship falls apart at the end of TPM.

 

The shield generator in ROTJ.

 

I'd say that the best explosion has to be the first Death Star, but my favorite is when in RotJ the 2nd Death Star comes alive and blows away a rebel cruiser. Awesome.

My favorite is when either the first or second Tie Fighter get crushed in the asteroid field in ESB.

What about the explosion when the Emperor is thrown down the shaft into the 2nd Death Star's reactor core by Vader?

The TIE Fighter in ROTJ that bounces around inside the Death Star for a little while before exploding.

in ANH when Han shoots the last TIE fighter. Most perfect explosion in movie history

 

Not my Favorite Star Wars movie but ESB in my opinion ESB did have the coolest explosion. When the AT-AT Walker's head blows up hahahahaha! it just looked funny and then the way it fell down..I just found it very funny and on yea awesome explosion.

The seismic charges in AOTC in the Asteroid field, set off by Jango.

 

Well, I liked the 1st Death Star and the sismic charge

 

1st Death star followed by the Seismic charges. The next explosion would have to be Death Star 2.

Does the TIE Fighter in the ESB Asteroid Field count? The one that has blue/white sparks around it and gets slammed by an asteroid. That's a cool one.

Also, the A-Wing flying head on to the Executor bridge.

And the pod that blows up in the cavern right before the dune turn. The flames chase after Anakin's pod as he flies out, only to be shot at by Tuskens.

OK, I admit, I just like explosions.
