Favorite Firefly/Serenity character?

Kaylee got the vote. Jayne a close second.

 

Jayne is a girl's name.

 

Have to pick River for this one - she's just too interesting as a character not to be my favorite.

 

Totally Simon. River is amazing and Mal is just.... unbelievably amazing, but simon is my favorite.

I agree with previous posts in that all of the characters are absolutely awesome. They complement each other really well, which makes it such a brilliant show. I love them all, but I'll give it to Jayne for the humour.

Mal and River would probably be next.

 

River.

She's just the most interesting and quirky - her deadpan observations ("I swallowed a bug") are a riot, and her lapses between craziness and innocent clarity are a great part of the show.

 

Simon is so brave and strong for his sister and he is so devoted. He is a good person!

 

...but not necessarily the person you connect with or laugh with. He has a better heart than probably the rest of the crew, but, that doesn't make him our favourite character.

 

Plus he's hot.

It's hard to pick a favorite, as I love all these characters, but Kaylee is the one I relate to the most.

 

I'm going to have to go with Mal. Partly because he's one of the most memorable characters I've yet encountered, and partly because he's Nathan Fillion

River. Cute and psychotic, just about the best combination possible

 

Huh, I said Jayne back then. I would actually lean towards both Mal and River above Jayne these days. But that's just it; I love all these characters.

I love that episode Jaynetown or whatever it was called! That song was hilarious!

 

I couldn't decide with Mal, Jayne, Kaylee or River so I went with Mal.

Extremely difficult choice! I voted for Mal. I once played a character that was exactly like Mal, and it is to date the best part I've had. I listened to On the Drift by the Bedlam Bards when I was warming up. 'Twas fun.

 

Capt. Mal Reynolds, certainly.

 

Ever since "I call 'er Vera...", Jayne has been my favorite.
