Keanu Reeves, aka Teh Plank. I`ve never really rated Mr. Reeves as an actor (just my opinion :p ), and to be honest, i think he reached his peak in Point Break (my vote). The Bill And Ted`s films were great, and also The Matrix, but The Matrix series was let down by some general craziness in the second and third films (the party scene in Revolutions? WTH?). Mr. Reeves just seems to be wooden in most of his films , and i don`t think he can act for toffee, (again, just my opinion, don`t let this get in the way of the poll :p )

Anyway, what`s your favorite Keanu Reeves film and why?

(as with all polls, I couldn`t put in every film he has been in, so I just included the "best" or most popular)

The Matrix but it has nothing to do with Keanu Reeves acting (or lack of). It's just because it's a great film.

    Keanu is rubbish.

I went for the one about a bus that had to speed around a city, keeping its speed over 50, and if its speed changed, it would explode! I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

For someone who days she isn't a Keanu Reeves fan I sure had a difficult time deciding between those films but I went for Dracula because I LOVE Vampire films :D

If it hadn't have been that it would have been Matrix but I do love the Bill and Ted films too!!

My favourite film is actually not there and before he was 'big'. Its about a group of friends at school and how their lives (especially Keanu's) are shattered after one of the friends kills himself for no apparent reason. Its a very good and emotional film. Seen it ages and ages ago but for the life of me cant remember the title.

I would say matrix reloaded, purely because i love the action scenes in it.

I also love both Bill and Ted films.

I'd have to say the Matrix. not for Reeves and not for the sequels but for a stand alone film it's ace. It looks fantastic, is well put together and makes you think, plus it's got an awesome soundtrack

Hmm, I quite enjoyed both Hardball and The Replacements. My Own Private Idaho was very good as well.

I like Speed... but as soon as the action moves away from the bus I find myself bored.

I was torn between The Matrix and Devil's Advocate, but went for the Matrix purely because I spent the first hour and a half of Devil's Advocate trying to work out what the hell was going on (it did fall into place in the last 10 minutes and is a mighty fine film).

Out of interest, are we talking about the best film he's in, or his best performance?

the best film he`s been in and the film he has acted the best in. The Matrix was great, but he was still a plank. IMHO Point Break was a great film, and also the pinnacle of Mr.Reeves acting performance.

edit: although the cusp of this thread would be "your favorite Keanu film and why", with added knocking of said actor.
