Full Series Favorite Lightsaber Duel in Clone Wars

Darth Maul vs Pre Vizsla was crazy

 

It was indeed.

 

The Sidious vs Maul and Savage. It makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside, but I tend to have a bias when it comes to Sheev, given that he's my favorite Sith Lord.

 

Add my vote to Palpatine vs Darth Maul and Savage.

 

It was still awesome though.

 

Sidious and Mail OR Obi vs Maul and Savage.

 

So, can I choose something from the microseries.


I'm always looking for an excuse to bring up the microseries.

 

Grievous vs Obi-Wan, Grievous Intrigue.

 

I have to say Viszla vs Maul and Maul and Savage vs Sidious were probably some of the best duels in the series maybe even the whole saga....
I liked Ventress and Kenobi vs Maul and Savage as well

Which is kind of unfortunate though because I don't like Maul like at all anymore...

 

Is that because they brought him back from death.

 

Well I liked him when we first saw him but then he got kinda boring and I just wanted them to finish his story so we could move on to more interesting things. Same goes with Savage


And yeah bringing him back didn't really make much sense anyway

But much like the lightsaber duels, all his arcs were some of the best too... Stop it

 

I always liked Luminara versus Ventress...and how Ventress nearly burned her eye out with steam from a vent..this was an intense battle that could have killer her...if not for my homegirl Ahsoka whom rescued her arrogant butt...and I loved Ventress' evil laugh

 

Corporal gascon vs gungan General binks

 

Not sure how those pipes didnt break Luminara's legs. Luminara held her own despite the blinded left eye but she was not trained or prepared to go the distance against such an aggressive and deady Jedi trained foe. She outmatched Tano and Luminara during the bout but seemed still unable to kill either. The Inquisitor appears to borrow Luminara's scolding of Ventress as he uses a very similar tout against Kanan.

 

Why does Luminara need her eyes to fight Ventress? Remember this anyone?

 

The eye injury didnt look to hinder her much, if anything it probably made her take Ventress as more of a real threat and she later admits she was not prepared to fight an adversary like Ventress.

 

Sidious v Maul and Savage.

It was beautiful.

 

The Inquisitor's dueling style looks modeled after TCW Dooku, some strange fencing. even the Inquisitor's lightsaber with its thin blade and hand guard looked modeled on a fencing or rapier sword. If Vader was not originally gonna be in the series but a late addition, then who was the master The Inquisitor spoke of in Gathering Forces?! The Inquisitor only refers to Vader as Lord Vader but not master. Am wondering if it is Bariss, doubtful, or someone else.

 

And the Lost One with Dooku vs the Jedi.

 

This is probably my favorite. Just so entertaining to watch them fight.

 

It is and I was surprised to see Maul hold his own for so long.

 

Well Sidious loves dueling inferior opponents. There is a scene near the beginning were he makes it abundantly clear he could have finished them with the force.

My personal favorite is Obi-Wan vs Maul and Savage. The only moments in TCW that shows why Obi-Wan lasted even ten minutes against Anakin:

 

I do think Hando shouldve died while laughing at 3:48 with a lightsaber throw by Maul, no good reason why Maul wouldve allowed him to go ranting and mocking like that. Also never understood how Opress's leg all of sudden was healthy again while it looked like the concentrated attack fiirst started by Gallia and continued more vigorously by Kenobi had broken the knee as we're initially led to believe with Savage's pain yell.

 

Well the whole point of that, was that his battle with Kenobi had exhausted him so much, he could barely run away. That's why Hondo scored a shot on him and the next chronological episode both he and Savage are in hibernation inside their ship/

 

I dont follow, Savage ran away fine after his leg was damaged in the cave and Maul later lost the droid leg to gun fire and then Savage carried him off to safety as well without falling or gimping.
