The first one had the cool part of the Empire striking back, but other than that, yeah.

I liked FH. Remnant was the best. Nom Anor was good.

The chief positive feature to the Force Heretic trilogy IMO was seeing a lot of the minor galactic powers and stuff from the Bantam era again. But it frequently felt like that was all there was to it, which I think is part of the reason why (as I said earlier) the second half of the NJO felt like it had a lot of "filler".

I'll take Force Heretic over Dark Nest, LOTF, and FOTJ though.

Nom Anor was the best part of the FH trilogy.

He was engaging through out the whole series. Can't explain why. He just is.

Yeah but the FH trilogy was where he really started to come into his own as the Prophet, IMO. He was awesome before but after that he was...well...yeah. Words can't really describe. Nom is just really, really cool. Also, I liked Kunra, especially when he pulled his "turn-everything-Nom-says-to-the-advantage-of-the-Shamed-Ones" move in TUF.

Getting rid of Traitor merely so I can be fair with this poll, I adore Destiny's Way.

Star by Star, Enemy Lines, and The Unifying Force for me.

    Never actually liked Traitor...

Yeah, but that's like you taking a kick in the balls from a big steel toecap boot when the offer is that or impalement up the backside with a flaming poker.

i enjoyed Force Heretic. Not as much as The Final Prophecy, but there was some valuable, readable parts.

Never seen the full art for TUF before, I have the paperback. Jacen grasping the lightsaber in fulfillment of his vision just sent chills down my spine.

That's frightening on so many levels.

But thank you for validating my decision to not read anything after TUF.

Don't even do that, it will ruin your perception of good characters.

"The Lit forum never told you what happened to Vergere's characterization..."

It is funny because Vergere never actually appears as a character. But when writing all these stories Denning spent a lot of time thinking about her characterization even though she wasn't in them and was surprised to realize she was a Sith!

This is what makes me laugh. You can't "realize" something about a character that wasn't previously written about them. You can make it up...you can discuss it with another writer...but you can't "realize" it. I mean, how does that even make sense?

There is only one post-NJO book that all should read, without reservation:

    X-Wing: Mercy Kill
