I’ve only been to America once. No Denny’s, not vote.

This thread would serve itself better if it was about posting about your favorite restaurant period, not chain of restaurants. If you have any taste at all its a nice local place, maybe you can put a link to the website if it has one, and that's it.

Here in San Juan, one of my favorites is called Cocina Abierta (which translates to Open Kitchen). Its all kinds of food, prepared in all sorts of different ways. It is truly and experience to eat there. I love it.
Because we are still dealing with the after effects of hurricane Maria, the menu you can see on their website is not the normal menu, but a limited version of it, and they change it from time to time. Last time I was there they had a cucumber risotto that was out of this world.

I love Longhorn because it's consistently yummy and even with a large group at a table, the service is good as well.

I love a family owned sushi/Japanese restaurant that is local to the area, though of course not on the list.

 

I rewatched some of my favorite episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee last night. Seinfeld taking Christoph Waltz to IHOP is absolutely priceless. Christoph plays up his barely concealed disgust of IHOP food for laughs, but if you know any Viennese, you know that the contempt is 100% authentic.

Yeah, I can't fathom someone's favorite restaurant being a giant chain. Any decently sized city has plenty of independent restaurants and at least some of them are better than **** like Applebees and IHOP.

They're Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I don't know if that sounds better or not.

And when I say "you" I mean "they" because that is obvious and clear...so much so this edit was needed.
