my dad and I still quote that line to this very day.
what's ironic about it?
Because they got their butts kicked by Dooku last time they fought? Nevermind that he said it to the Head Sith himself.
Poor Obi-Wan can't handle Chris Lee yo!
Anakin's classic "I hate sand..." dialogue is better when you think about it as thinly veiled racism about the Tusken Raiders.
Yeah. Well, the literal application of the line references that Obi-Wan killed Maul and Anakin and Obi-Wan have faced Dooku before. But what I find ironic is that firstly, he has no idea he is cockily saying this to the Sith Master, unaware that he hasn't got the upper hand on Palpatine. Secondly, Anakin defeating the apprentice Dooku, which is exactly what Obi-Wan would imply will happen, sets Anakin on the path to become a Sith himself. So "their speciality" indeed.
I know it's a rehash of an OT line, but I honestly prefer Anakin's:
"Here's where the fun begins."
"We got your message, master, and we transmitted it just as you asked. Then we decided to come and rescue you."
"The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."
"Why do I get the feeling you're going to be the death of me?"
Obi-Wan Kenobi: "You want to go home and rethink your life."
Drug Dealer: "I wanna go home and rethink my life."
"The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Begun, the Clone War has."
Padme: "You're not all-powerful, Anakin."
Anakin: "Well I should be! Someday I will be! One day, I will be the most powerful Jedi ever! I will even learn how to stop people from dying!"
"Anakin, how many times have I told you to stay away from the power couplings."
>Implying this has occurs often
"Dangerous and disturbing this puzzle is. Only a Jedi could have erased those files. But who, and why, harder to answer."
"This party's over."
Obi-Wan: Just relax, concentrate.
Anakin: What about Padme?
Obi-Wan: She seems to be on top of things.
"Aw man, not again. Obi-Wan's gonna kill me."
Mace Windu: "The oppression of the Sith shall never return! You have lost!"
Palpatine: "No, no, no, you have lost!" *hurls Sith lightning at Mace*
"He has control of the Senate and the Courts! He's too dangerous to be left alive!"
Palpatine: "I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend. At last, the Jedi are no more."
Yoda: "Not if anything to say about it I have!"
Palpatine: "In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic shall be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society!"
"Commander Cody, the time has come. Execute Order 66."
"We have a job to do, Anakin. Try not to upset him."
"I have a bad feeling about this"
"This is impossible!"
"Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi."
"At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge" - I particularly like this one because it's really the culmination of 1000 years of preparation for this one moment.
We would neeeeeeeever do aaaaaaaaaaanything without the approooooooooval of the Seeeeenate.
Soooo many of the great ones have already been mentioned...but I will add a couple:
"Always on the move."
"You have done that yourself!"
"Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic. It's to democracy!"
A friend and I will often purposely make bad SW satire of the last one and replace one of the given words to fit the moment. The other day I visited this friend and he had all of his camera gear spread out all over his room, so I was making fun of him for needing so much stuff just to take photos. He calmly replied:
"Ananta, my allegiance is to the Republic. It's to ___________"
'Good Anakin, good hahaha....kill him'
Great moment in ROTS where Palpatine shows just how little he cares about the lives of others....even other Sith.
"It will be Civil War without end!"
Why it could lead to three more of these movies!
"Only a Sith deals in absolutes...."
I think Sidious just jinxed himself there... way to go Sidious you overconfident idiot
No he just wanted three more movies where he could cackle.
"Army or not, you must realize: You are doomed!"
"Oh I don't think so"
"My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count."
"Good. Twice the pride, double the fall."
Sidious: "Move first against the Jedi."
"I've been waiting a very long time for this my little green friend."
isn't the quote itself an absolute?
i think in the novelization for ROTJ, Palpy asks Luke about yoda and he refers to him as his "Little green friend" as well.
Wonder if Palps knows Kermit?
