I'll second the vote on STTNG A Final Unity. Great game.

I also love Sam and Max Hit the Road, the original Command and Conquer and the original Worms. All classics.

I'd like to second worms and lemmings - I don't have a PC, but they're both on my amiga. Their both great sleep stealers.

Cannon Fodder and Settlers were also way ahead of their time.

I used to just love my ET's Rugby League thing and of course the Leisure Suit Larry Series.

I'm not much of a game person though.

    Alley Cat

    Novatron (based on Tron bikes)

Spacewars (two ships + one planet + missiles + gravity)

Does the MAME arcade emulator count? Shinobi, Ghosts n Goblins, Strider, Karnov, Bad Dudes ... ah, the memories

I can't believe no one's mentioned Flight Sim 4 yet. Ah, 16 colour graphics, PC speaker sound, actual joystick control...truly a masterpiece of its time. :p

    LOL

I still have most of these.

I'm, um er, saving them for when I have kids?

(that's my standard line for any toys i still have lying around)

Zak McKraken (sp?) and the Cosmic Gender Bender (i think that's the title - can't be bothered looking - strange strange strange game)

    System Shock!

The first game that made me go "Oooooooooh aaaaaaaaaah...."

I kept getting eaten because I was too busy watching the amazing aliens to notice that they were about to bite my head off ...

Barbarian (the weird side-scrolling one, not to be confused with - or compared to - the classic hack-em-up from Palace)

    Duke Nukem 1, 2 & 3D. They rocked.

And also, Commander Keen. The best game. Ever.

    WOLFENSTEIN!!!!!
    Best. Game. Ever
Nothing in this world beats blowing away a couple of Nazis with a heavy machine gun ;)

Ultima Underworld was pretty good too; travelling around in some abyss collecting armour and weapons and fighting bad dudes. They don't make games this good anymore!

    Rise of the Triad

The best doom clone bar none, using the flamewall and the firebomb brings back fond memories.

Ah, what sweet, sweet memories, of hours upon hours of my childhood whittled away in front my computer...

I can't really add much to the current selection, although a few games such as The Curse of Monkey Island. And who could forget the original Space Quest. I remember, finally finishing the game... only to be given a golden broom to clean up the mess I had caused in the galaxy. :D

We also used to have an Atari (2700T, I think). And possibly one of the best games ever, ever, called Future Quest (I think). You're a janitor and you end up caught up in this massive consiparcy that sends you through space and time. The most unfortunate thing is that I we never got to finish it.

Hmm.. *heads off in search of emulators..*

What about "Golden Axe" and was it "Cobra Force". Some dodgy first person shoot em up game that panned from left to right in a jungle setting.

    Oh, and Double Dragon. Phew!

And you will never beat the old EGA graphics!
