That is my problem with POA. My favorite movie OOTP cut a lot, I know but it made a great movie regardless. I guess I don't like POA because when I first saw it I was hoping that everything could be in it but was let down when it didn't. That along with GOF got me off of that and I enjoyed OOTP the most.
they got so dark that in deathly hallows part 2 i could barely see anything happening on screen. i yelled into the little projector window to spur the staff into action.
Prisoner of Azkaban Hated it when I first saw; on subsequent viewings however it quickly grew on me. It still has some flaws (no explanation of the Marauder's Map, Gambon's Dumbledore being a bit off-key) but overall I enjoyed it a lot and it's been the most memorable HP film for me - to the point that when I re-read the book a couple of years ago I was surprised to discover just how much I had forgotten a lot of the subplots and minor characters that had been left out in the film version.
As far as Gambon's Dumbledore goes, I think he was the best in POA. There he was the right mixture of quirkiness and "srs bsns" - only in the later films he got downright annoying (HARRY DID YA PUT UR NAME IN DA GOBLET OF FIYAH?! and the rest of it).
