February 2003 meeting

Yes, as to not have another lasertag incident, I was saying that I'll wait until I get to the theatre to buy my tickets...with the group. I am just planning on going to DD at 12:30.

That doesnt sound to me like your waiting to get to the theartre to get a ticket with the group.To me,it sounds like your planning on seeing the movie at 12:30 regardless if the rest of us are or not.

what happens if someones late? what if someone would rather get lunch first,then see the movie?These are the things that should be considered before buying a ticket to a show we're not even sure we're seeing.

 

Ok, Roy was saying how we should have some lunch before the movie. That sounds good, cuz if we wait too long, it will be 2 pm + until we eat.

Here are the DD movie times:

12:30 | 1:15 | 2:15 | 3:15

Does everybody think that's a good idea? We'll meet in the lobby of the movie theatre, decide when we are seeing the movie, buy our tickets, and then go get some lunch.

 

I think the 2:15 show would be perfect.

Gives us plenty of time to eat without rushing.And still get out of the movie early enough for anyone who needs to grab a train back home.

I will be there, along with my boyfriend who is visiting from Ohio for the weekend.

So, someone tell me if I have this right... We're meeting at the theater at noon, then going somewhere to eat, and then on to the movie? I've never been in this particular area of Boston before, so can someone also tell me if there are any vegetarian friendly places around for lunch?

Buddha's Delight is half a block down the street in Chinatown. We are going to the Beantown Pub, which is up Tremont St. They might have a veggie sandwich there.

Oh, and although I should have asked about this already, what's the best way to get to the movie theater? Is there a T stop it's close to?

 

Boylston stop on the Green Line is right across the street from the theatre.

 

Well,That movie sucked!

And so did the person running the projector.

 

Well I liked the movie quite a bit.

 

I thought the movie was decent when I saw it last night, but after the second time today I actually liked it a lot more.
The person on the projector sucked, but at least we got sound and the lights off before the x2 preview which was sweet.
The fire alarm was ridiculous, if everyone left the theater any slower they'd be going backwards. I just feel bad for the people who were in the middle of a movie when the alarm went off, at least there was only like 30 seconds left on our movie.

Edit: I think I'm gonna see if I can get a free movie pass off Loews for the experience which was, unique.

 

I thought the movie was pretty good. I've never been a comic book reader (I bounced a question regarding that off my mom tonight and she figured it was because I always read novels where other kids went for comics), but it did a good job of explaining who and what the Daredevil is.

The technical difficulties and fire alarm were a bit out of hand, though. Speaking of which, does anyone know exactly what the fire alarm was all about?

 

I still have no idea what the deal with the alarm was. I plan on calling some time tomorrow about getting my money back for my ticket. I'll ask then.

NO Spoilers of DD please, i want to see this movie, without any knowledge of the story (although that may be difficult as i have read many DD comics, especially the Jack Kirby and Kevin Smith written ones)
