Rogue One [Official Info] Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso) in Rogue One

I'm pretty sure Jones herself has said she's not playing Leia. Besides she's ten years older than Carrie was in ANH so I think it's very unlikely.

I can't help but think that the story (and possibly this character) will tie in with TFA in some way but I think we can rule out Leia and Shara Bey.

 

Felicity Jones makes ZERO sense to play Shara, they look nothing alike. Given how Shara is drawn in the comics, someone like say, Kerry Washington would make far more sense to play that role.

I would prefer Jone's character be new and unrelated to Rey or Skywalker.

But anyways I think she was a great choice for Rogue One, should be another good strong female character. Looking forward to learning more about her character.

 

Super late with the Lyra Erso news. Just read that 'spoiler' today and thought how Lyra = harp constellation. Got excited because its stars are called Lyrae (its brightest star Vega being Alpha Lyrae) but alas! Found out a bit later that it's not Jones' characters name. Oh well, there goes my "She could totally be Rey's mum" theory

 

I'm not even sure how her being Rey's mom could work realistically. Let's pretend for a second Felicity's character's name is "Lyra" then in Luke in Ep 8 say's "I wish LYRA were here to see this!" or something mentioning her name out of nowhere then half the audience who had seen Rogue one would flip the **** out (I would anyway ) and the other half would be "who?". Or if was made into a canon comic featuring Luke and her meeting and such.

 

You'd might have to do flashbacks, which would involve either getting different actors to play them (since the age different between Mark and Felicity is HUGE), or use makeup/special effects to make them look more closer in age.

 

Did trevorrow say Rey's parent's are two character's we've already met? Or just one? Since we haven't met FJ yet and Rogue 1 is still month's away...

 

All I heard him say was that her origins would be important "to the galaxy as a whole" and be "deeply or profoundly satisfying" for the fans. He said nothing about who they were or if we'd met them before, at least not that I'm aware of anyway.

 

I must be imagining thing's then, in that same article i thought i seen something like "Her parent's are people we've already be introduced to".
Sidenote: Is FJ's hair dyed in Rogue one? Look's slightly different than what i'm used to seeing her with. Maybe it's the lighting.

 

If we've met her parents....who are we left with at this point in history?

Now this really intrigues me. I can't imagine what we're in store but it sounds cool. Now are her origins from the films or comics? I have heard rumors she's Aphra.

 

Please, everyone knows Rey is the love child of Luke, Chuck Norris, Boba Fett and Batman. Not some mere Rebel soldier.

 

I'm not sayin, im just sayin. Felicity has beautiful eye's .

 

Could she be Mon Mothma?

 

I doubt it. Looks like Felicity's character is taking an active role in the theft of the Death Star plans, while Mon Mothma was the leader and acted behind the scenes.

 

Why? Is it because she bears no resemblance at all to Daisy Ridley?

 

Sure she does! Just compare the two of them. Both have two eyes, one nose, one mouth, two ears, and they both walk upright. It's uncanny!
