I think I worked out the mimic star wars films idea.

Idea # 1

Put on the film

Turn of the center channel (90% dialog)

With a bunch of people in the room each person draws a characters name from a piece of paper from a hat

The main characters (Vader, Ben, Luke, Han, Padme, Yoda, etc.) are assigned. The straggler Minor characters (Watto, R2, Chewie, Fett, etc.) will be assigned to someone not doing the any of the main characters

We voice the film. the fun should be in making mistakes in the dialog and what comes out of it

Idea # 2

MST3K style.

Put on the films and just mock them.

Either scenario works with other films also like Monty Python and the Holey grail, 5th element, Alien, Indy, Matrix, etc.

Any takers?

Idea # 3
Everyone gets a film icon but replaces the dialog with a(n) amusing price of dialog.

I'm trying to get a day/night that works best for everyone.

Later today or tonight?

As far as I know right now the paperwork and signatures for the job I was supposed to start Monday morning didn't come thorough. That frees me up for later today or evening.

I would have liked to have got to see the 12am showing of Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix with the group..but I didnt see any threads about it.. I had to go alone. But I met some people there, and the movie was cool!

Saturday night?

I've had the projector and 92 inch screen set up for 2 weeks, I just got finished watching RotJ (it was a bad day at work so I needed something fun) . Yes, watching Ewoks getting trampled is fun . I never noticed before that you can hear Vader (or at that point he was Anakin again) taking is last proper mechanical breath before the iron lung part of his suite totally failed him.

which saturday night are we talking about.. this saturday night the 14th.. that would work for me and my brood and anyone that wanted to come with us if this is the saturday to which you are referring.

I guess this Sat. night. We have Minis at 2:00 pm and I have to work in the AM for 8 hours before that so it's really the only time I have on Saturday.

After re-watching Ep. 1 I see many "Gaping holes" in the film.
