So i just wikipediaed velociraptors and they are not as badass as they were in the films. They were tiny and covered in feathers. I feel my whole childhood is a lie, what do i do? haha

Thank you, I did indeed draw the Rex. :)

Regarding the Velociraptor, at the time the Jurassic Park novel was produced the Velociraptor Antirrhopus was the larger cousin to the Mongoliensis species, however, it was reclassified as Deinonychus Antirrhopus. The size of the ones in the film are similar to the Utahraptor which was discovered around the time in '93.

Regarding the feathers, artists haven't portrayed it properly and looks awful when it can actually look pretty cool. They have been finding evidence of protofeathers on them and for one species, they had even worked out the colour of the plumage. I accept them for the Velociraptors and the other Dromeaosauridae but for the Tyrannosaur and other large therapods.... there has to be conclusive evidence to convince me though I'll keep an open mind for when that day happens.

Did you happen to see the 20th Anniversary screening of Jurassic Park last month?

It was really well done and was an awesome experience to see it at the IMAX. There are rumours of the other two films being converted and to be re-released at cinemas to lead up to the release of the fourth film.

Hopefully the rumours for TLW are true so we all can see it again on the big screen. All the best for your new job, I hope that you will enjoy it. :)

Thank you for your kind words on my artwork, it is my interpretation of an older and more realistic styled Ahsoka Tano.

Ok, off topic from JP but this page is really funny.

Its from wookiepedia. Its the page for humans, but its written in such a way as if aliens would be reading it.

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Human

As if we didnt know what a human baby looked like. I know why they do it in that format but its still really funny.

Sooooo. Who got the interior decorator to do the colour scheme around these parts? Should be black and silver or white

Nice how they kept in-universe in regard to humans and their origins. :p

As for the colour scheme, we felt it would be nice for a change from the Galactic Empire scheme.

I thought he was referring to Dr Ian Malcolm's choice of wardrobe (minus the white). Blue and Silver works too.

It seems we are not alone..... NZ forums have been a bit quiet since the big move. I tend to lurk around on the Episode VII forums.

Will likely drag the family along to Armageddon.
