hello Gunnm_BeAngel! welcome
not all portuguese cooking is extremely fattening...it's the size of portuguese portions you have to beware

Near Venice hey? I know a lot of ppl who's dream is to visit Venice. Must be really a nice place. But I would like to visit the Tower of Pizza. I've seen photos, and it really looks nice.

Glad you feel welcome. That's the purpose of this topic, and our goal.

Ok... I *definitly* don't wanna know.
Good evening everyone!
Do not know what else I can say...
Hopes everyone is fine!
I'm hungry. I'm gonna have dinner now.
Hello Sabine How was your day?
(hey this was post 4800 of FFP )
A belated Bon Appetite, DarkWoman!
My day was ok. I have finished one part of my thesis so I can show it to my supervisor tomorrow!
I'd like to visit a "Tower of Pizza" too!!!
When i find one i'll call you!
At Venice i've attended university and now i work (more or less) there. It's a wonderfull city for holiday, but living there it's quite difficult.
I forgot to say that a friend of mine has been, last year, in Coimbra for 9 months with the Erasmus project. I must call her and ask to teach me portoguese a little.
Ah, I didn't know that you have also "Erasmus projects" or better that you named it so, too.
Erasmus is EU wide, and includes some eastern europe countries too. we had a student from chekoslovakia (i can't spell it right ) in our college last year
I know that, but I haven't thought, that it is exact the same name....
Did anyone participate on those projekt?
i don't know anybody that did...
but there are people who do! i know this because my mom used to work in the agency that handles Erasmus and other EU projects before she retired
some people love it, but it's not all fun and games though. some people can suffer a severe culture shock, and they feel isolated and depressed, completely alone in a foreign country. it's scary
as for me, i love my confortable home, and i can't afford going abroad to study without a big fat grant
(the Eramus grant isn't that big, at least around here)
I'd like to visit a "Tower of Pizza" too!!!
Ok ok!! You can come to portugal and then go to pizza hut with me and try to make one of those. Even make a Guinness record (I will correct then, it was an honest mistake! I would like to visit the "Tower of Pisa")
I never heard of the name Eramus. I searched the net and found this site. So i now know it's a stundents exchange program, i've heard of those. Sounds nice. But it's true what Alma said. Some persons can suffer a cultural shock and feel alone/depressed.
Sabine, be sure to tell us how it went (with your thesis).
Oh my goodness, I can't be away from the forums a few days without there beeing hundreds of new posts and lots of people dropping by. When I get back, everyone suddently has other things to do. I wonder why? *angelic_expression*
*Pulls all the newcomers into a big crushing hug before they have the time to flee for their lifes*
Hello Anya! *hugs back* Why should I flee? ?
I am here just for a few seconds, because I am tired and want to read a bit.
But I want to let you know, that the meeting went well!
I will have to do some more, but it is ok!
