Yeah, hope everyone had a nice christmas. Getting ready for the New Year now?
Say do you guys get snow in Portugal where you live?

 

Not in my part of the country (Lisbon - the capital), but on some regions (mostly north of here) there's snow.

We get lots of snow here in Northern New York.

I like it, yes. It has it's upside and downside, but it's nice to be there during the day. I prefer sleeping in suburban areas though - less noise. I love some parts of Lisbon, like the São Jorge Castle, the Tower of Belém and the Gulbenkian Garden. I also love the view over the river.

We get lots of snow here in Northern New York. grin

I'd like to go there someday. Seems like and interesting city.

Yeah, Happy New Year. Still about twenty minuets to go here though.
I went to Ottawa for the day.

That sounds nice Mara. When I travel to Europe I'll be sure to pass through
Lisbon. And I don't really live in a city. I live in a smaller town in the
north. I haven't even been to New York City yet. lol. But I like where I
live. The snow makes everything look really nice.

Will be a great year for all of us, I'm sure, since it's the year of Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith!!

And then there's the Europe meeting in Sweden. Anyone planning to attend? Would be great to see you all again!

 

Wish I could attend the FF meeting... Sadly that big lotto 1st prize manages to elude me still. I should have a little chat with the Force to see if it could influence the odds in my favour a little.

Well, it's exam season over these parts... And I'm a lazy, incredibly lazy person... So they're going really really badly for me. Other than that, life's just fine.

It's been freezing cold here in Portugal, so all I feel like doing is hibernating. Doens't really help study any.


(I know our temperatures are nothing like yours... So just trust me on this one : It's cold! )

Not really. Weird weather: sun and rain in the north, drought in the south, and the dark clouds of taxes on the horizon ...

Weather is weird isn't it? Though I do like playing football in the rain.
So rain isn't always bad.

 

No, it's not, but concerning this 'type' of rain, "when it rains, it pours".

Rain is fun to play in, But when you just have to go
outside to go to class or something it can be crazy
bad.

Anyways, besides the weather, whats new in Portugal?

 

We suck in what concerns movie merchandising, not just Star Wars, you may have to attempt murder in order to get a collectable.

Our taxes are so high in imports that we simply cannot afford, unless you don't care about your next day.

Fan clubs are rare.

No luck in the cinemas either... Bad films (tapes), bad screens, bad chairs (how bad? Ache bad!) etc, etc, etc...

BUT WE LOVE THIS COUNTRY...
