Just thought Ild ask, how many games of bowling we planning?

I suppose it all depends on how long we are gonna be bowling for. cause I went today and we had 5 people in a lane, two games... took under an hour. Im cool for anything but I thought I'd might as well throw it out there

we had talked about having a couple of games (?) of bowling, which with the amount of people attending should take us a fair while. then back to mine for utter chaos.

tim, dbr88, chris and jon, am i meeting you lot in town outside forbidden planet at 11-ish still? is that makeable for you all?

if the weather is on our side i'll drag the barbecue out, so if you want a steak or anything special we can get you to a shop, but anything else like burgers and hot dogs and such, both veggie and normal, will be laid on.

and don't forget to bring booze*!! <-----------possibly the most important criteria :D

*we should have a load of pop for those who don't drink ;)

No need to worry about me, I can get to your place easy enough. I just suggested going to to New Street so Rob wouldn't get too lost, but looks like he will have enough company now. :p

So I'll just appear at yours around 11... for now. [face_mischief]

Bowling is 10 mins per person per game.

So 3 lanes of 6 people playing 2 games is 2 hours :)

    I'll be there from 11ish

    Take a look at this

Go down to flexi-bowl party package.
Looking for a great value party
    for six or more people?
    Look no further than our
    Flexi-Bowl Party Packages

    From only £10.00 per person

    BOWLING
Everybody enjoys two games of bowling each. The winner receives a 'champions' certificate and bottle of bubbly and, unfortunately, the lowest scorer picks up the title of 'worst bowler' and the accompanying certificate!
    Only £10.00 per person
Something like that sounds alright for a tenner.

But if we went for three regular games, it's £14.75 each.

Personally, I think 2 games each would be enough. What do you guys think?

Party option sounds superb to me. Just what we're looking for :D

I'm the same, pay on the day if that's OK. No debit/credit card makes online payments a ******* nightmare!

Still very much up for this. It'll be expensive but boy! It should be good!!

I'll be the bald guy ([face_worried] I'm worried now!) walking around Birmmingham lost with a rucksack full of booze (for you guys) and a sleeping bag in the other arm.

Oh and I got my present today. Just need to wrap it. They didn't have what I wanted, but one Sci-Fi nut is going to pop their collar when they see how cool this is!

EDIT: Video camera will hopefully be in attendance! Get ready!

Damn, £5 a game of bowling? It's expensive over there!

But my winning certificate will be well worth it :p

I take it it's okay to bring my own bowling shoes and ball? :D

I am nearly organised ... Got train tickets and sleeping bag today.

Train ticket Southport-Birmingham New Street saver return - £35
    Sleeping bag - £12.99
Two games of bowling - £10
    Gift (wrapped) - £2
    Extras - £...
Being at the FF-UK: Midlands 1st Birthday Party - Priceless  :D

Wiz, not sure how many vegetarians are gonna be there aside for me, but I'll get some veggie sausages (1-2 packs), and a pack of veggie burgers too (they are Cauldron, best type I have found so far). I need to get a cooler bag of some sort, think I saw a nice one in M&S. I'll bring a pack of SW top trumps for people to play with too.

Anything else I am forgetting, aside for myself?
