Good morning...or should that be afternoon? I don't care I have no exams!!
I'm in a mood this morning with play.com....ordered a CD off them (keane live recordingsEP)
and it came with no front case and all the back is cracked!! bloody typical think they can fob me off with tat! not impressed!

 

of course you shouldnt have to put up with that, I hope you complained in the strongest possible terms. Threaten to send and entire legion of your best troops unless a replacement is forth coming

 

Oh don't worry I think they will be running like the Empire after that email I just sent them!

I've only ever had problem with Play.com - the second disc of DS9:Season 2 would freeze up when it came to a certain part of one episode, and then go back to a point earlier in the show.

Actually, I have problems with my copy of Halloween - both discs appeared to be corrupt, but I didn't find this out until about a year after I bought the DVD, so it was a bit late to send it back then.

 

All from Play.com? I know they are cheap , but I'm a real advocate of not shopping at a place if I'm not happy with the service.

 

Yeah, but the problems you're talking about Ninja are manufacturing problems and not really the vendor's fault. I've had the odd issue with play in the past, but they've always been really helpful, replaced the discs and refunded the postage for me.

 

so it should all have a happy ending.

Well, I think everyone would agree with that assessment. Personally, I've been shopping from Play.com for over 4 years, and spent well over a couple of grand. I've never had a problem with them...The only gripe I suppose I would have with them is that the Region 1 importing site, PlayUSA.com ships Region 1 discs in Canadian packaging - half of it is in French. Other than that, I've been very happy with them. I only buy my DVD's through them.

 

I buy mine off the high street or from them if they have offers on certain things like the CD i bought.
I simply can't wait five days for something to come if I can get it there and then from the high street.....I'm too impatient!

 

I dont mind waiting if i can save money, I must have scottish in me somewhere down the line.

 

Oddly enough, I always seem to get my DVD's early from them...before they hit the high street. Sometimes by a week or even a fortnight!

 

just get em from amazon they are the best!
