FF-UK: N by NW - Red Squirrels!!!! Nature walk & Picnic @ Formby Pine Woods

This idea started when on the train coming home from Bristol, when some Glaswegians were discussing the loss of our native Reds, and where the reserves were, and they missed out the important Formby pinewoods one. Then again, they were the same Glaswegians who had a few incidents happen to them on that train (their booked carriage was missing, old granny next to them with the slack nickers and missing luggage bag, and the exploding bottle), so I think we can forgive them lol. Yep, the Bristol train journey was interesting

But on way back this weekend from Sutton, I decided it's time to visit the woods again, go feed the squirrels and see a beautiful bit of NW coastline. I may do a short trip this Friday, but if people are interested in a weekend (like a Sat or Sun), then we can make this into a meet. May have to do it soon, Summer is on it's way out. Who would be interested, and most importantly ... when?

Very interested - not sure when though - pretty booked up with other meets.

But otherwise my weekends are free, except this one coming

I'd also be interested in this.. I haven't been there for over a year now. (It could be coming up to 2 years to be honest! "Lola" by Oasis was out because I was walking round with the dreadful song in my head!)

But like go-away said, I'm also pretty full up with meets and whatnot. If anyone suggests a date though I'll see what I can do as I'd love to be there

Not so sure about dates at the mo (I have plently of meets to attend too ), but I'll check through the diary.

Some pics from the Friday trip, it was just too busy there I think for the squirrels to be out en masse, but one did come over to be fed.
