FF-UK N by NW: Wirral Meet

After the last N by NW meet, it got me thinking about other things to do in the northwest. So how about a meet over the water in the Wirral Peninsula?
My idea so far is to start the day by meeting in Liverpool and then getting the famous ferry across the Mersey to Birkenhead and visit places like the Wirral Museum, Shore Road Pumping Station and the Birkenhead Priory. After that hop onto a trian or bus down to Port Sunlight and check out the Lady Lever Art Gallery and then maybe end the day with a meal in L'pool.


I've got no dates for this yet, we can come up with that later if anyones up for this.

 

Sounds like another good social meet to me, I'd be up for it

The good thing is that this can be do any time, and all these places are free. All you need is money for transport and food.
A good idea would be to buy a Saveaway ticket which lets you ride all the trains, buses and farries. And a allzone only costs £3.50

lol, I don't know if they still do it but last time I was on the ferry they played Ferry 'cross the Mersey over the PA

 

oh, yes, i need to sort out the transportation for myself anyway. i guess i'll just buy one of these rail cards or something.

and anyway, very inviting looks like i need to bring a camera.

Since we have things planed till the end of the year, how does meeting up for this around December or January?
Means we might get a little cold and wet but you can't have everthing

 

January would be good - get the festive season out of the way. Will have to wrap up warm.

I'm cool with January, it's not too far off. Plus good way to start the year off for the North By Northwest crew or maybe the rest of the Chapter

Spaceport is located at Seacombe Ferry Terminal, so we can get the ferry across to this, and see the exhibition too.

But we will have to do it before January. What do people think?

I'm not into Dr Who either Coz, I know Caroline and Dickie are, so maybe we can visit the Spaceport as a group?
