Actually, on the subject of main me own robes, if anyone has a sewing pattern then i know a good seamstress who could make me some.

Hope you had a good time - wherever you went. Camping? Not for me - I like my home comforts too much...

 

I like camping, but prefer to do it after a nice hike, really get into the middle of nowhere first. Get a lovely clear sky without nearby lights to ruin it.

 

Camping is such a laugh i went camping with my partner in whitby last year we were so bloody cold it was unbeliveable we were home within 24 hours -

i like the warmth of a bed -

Camping is good if you find a perfect spot to go to, and you take plenty of blankets, it gets cold at night!

 

I've gotta say I like getting out and about and kipping under canvas.


Me and the missus used to do it a lot and decided to buy a new tent so we got a huge one so we can cook in it when wet etc... it cost £160. We never got to use it for the remainder of the year we had it as her back went into spasm over July and august and when it got to September we found out she was pregnant (hence back spasm )


It's not been used to this day and it sits in my attic looking forlornly at me whenever I have to go up there.


We'll be out in it next year.


I may even suggest a camping meet for summer next year

 

I was in a Youth Hostel!!!


The food was so terrible I felt ill half the time, and the lady who worked there was really scary. Then there was this running joke about the chicken nuggets, but I won't go into that one right now.

I had four lollies (those clear fruity ones) in two days so I was full of E numbers on the way home so how the teachers I was sat behind survived I will never know. Mind you by that time we were all a bit loony

Oh yeah quiz. I love quizzes. I lost in a tie breaker in Cornwall because the other guy had his hand up before the end of the question I knew the answer aswell!

Probably best to do in groups of 2 or 3 - more fun that way I guess?

This all sounds like fun - suggest you add it to the agenda for the meeting so everyone who comes gets to know on the day .

Hamsterly Forrest near Barnard Castle is good, I know a great little camping spot thats nice and quiet, and its near a river for water.

 

...thats just round t'corner from me - nice by day - but by night....beware the animals that bite!

 

Didn't encounter anything like that when i was there, then again, why would i bite myself
