Hi Scouty!

Yes, from the previous posts, the Ghost Walk is definately on - bring your leaflets and the vouchers though for sure. There are definately at least me, JM Boot (+1) and you (+1/2) going at the very least.

 

I'm on the Ghost walk (and the trip to the pub afterwards)


My hotel is only 5 mins from the minster so I think I'll be fine getting there (free onsite parking as well )

 

fair enough FB. I just bringing my sister with me, so I dread for everyone's sanity and Ogli's health (he is trying her sandwich). My sandwiches got squashed today so I couldn't eat them, not that I was hungry, its really wierd I'm not very hungry lately.

You know what i said about that film dog soilder's and the camping out part got me so scared.
Im all for camping out with a number of jedi but know in some woods in the middle of know-where a camp site will suit me down to the ground - theres a good one in whitby -

we could do a camp meet up in the summer time - we need to talk more about this on saturday .

Summer still a few months away now but if we put plans in place.....

MASTER FB I think if we put the plan's in place at our york meeting - and find out where people would like to go camping - i think it would be a great idea .

the where is another matter tho - i dont want to be in the middle of some woods - A camp site sounds good - that is if we make a real good go of this jedi forum meet up master chairman

plus i didnt find the blair whitch project that scarey - but i did like the dead ringers take off of it tho - tony blair out in a woods crying down the camra lens about the war in iraq -

I'm going to post some ideas up around how we look to structure the Northern Chapter (when I get a moment)


Those who are going to the meet. I'd like you to have a think about the ideas and decide which one you prefer or if you have any other alternatives to it.

If you're not available to get to the meet. As this is your chapter as well, I'd like you to PM me any ideas you have (if you have any) regarding the Chapters structure etc... and I'll present them to the group.

I'll look to get some basic drafts up this afternoon to give you today and tomorrow to think of ideas.

I might still try and get down there, but my bank account isn't playing ball with anything recently, so don't expect much. Thats about it really. Have a good time all!

 

Possible options for FFUK Northern

Structure

A Chapter rep which all members contact regarding anything to do with the chapter

Or

A Chapter rep with local contact who are a contact for their area and its members and are the voice for that locality.

Or

Lots of little chapters that communicate with each other and each have their own rep.

Meeting options

1. A chapter with large meets every 2 months throughout the North (centralised) only
2. A chapter with regular local meets and large meets every quarter
3. A chapter with regular local meets and 2/3 large meets per year.

(This depends on the type of chapter we want)

Membership

1. Star Wars fans only
2. Sci Fi fans only
3. All Sci Fi and fantasy fans
4. Anyone with an interest that?s considered geeky



We?ll need to discuss this before we start discussing any positions within the chapter i.e. CR, Secretary etc?


I won?t want ideas on this on the thread though as it may influence other people so any ideas you have bring them to the meet and we?ll discuss them there.

Any other suggestions that need going over at the meet please post on the thread or PM to me though so I can add them to my list of things to address.

So long as the weather is good, the museum Gardens is a great area to relax and chat. There are some picnic tables - but the grass is good. Its near the river and about 3 mins walk from the Minster. Good central place.

Weather says it will be 'mostly cloudy - 15 degrees' on Saturday right now -however it said Newcastle was going to be rainy today and it was the most grogeous sunshiny day for ages there!

 

WEATHER REPORT FOR SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD NO RAIN SOME CLOWDS BUT SUNNY IN PARTS - SO THE GARDENS IT IS THEN .

I cant think of nothing MFB that you haven't all ready put on your list -

 

Well. Just a few points.

1. How much i get paid as Chapter pin up


2. Where we're gonna put up my statue


3. What pose/outfit i'll wear in it

 

1. you'll pay me for the privilege of being the chapter pin up
2. Where the sun doesn't shine (Birmingham)
3. Wear a thong and assume the Brucie position

 

You can't be CR and CP. Other 2 suggestions are fine though.
