I agree with those who say Masters of the Universe. It was way too campy at points even for me as a kid.

WB are rebooting The Matrix. Yay, a Matrix reboot, said no one ever.

I've never seen The Animatrix. Is it worth seeing?

It wasn't for me, but there could be something in it for you. If you're a fan of anime in general, that's probably a definite.

    Clash of the Titans

Proper stop-motion animation this time, though. I didn't hate the remake, but it could have been so much better - Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits managed to come up with better-looking armour and action for that brief ancient Greece-set interlude with Sean Connery, and I'd like a whole movie that looked as good as that.

No rebooting needed. Just need a blue pill to forget the sequels

The Rocketeer. Just make it a little less cartoony/comic book, and little more real. And use more old planes.

    Old planes make everything better.

Consider me your fairy godmother. The reboot, The Rocketeers, has been in development for nearly a year now.

    I love you, Diggy. <3

I wonder if the heroine will be named Bessie Coleman.

Also, if the new score doesn't use the original themes, I shall be most put out. That's one of my favorite movie soundtracks.

I agree. You can watch the great ones on YouTube.

The prequels are called The Second Renaissance Part 1 and 2, the rise of the machines.

And there's the Final Flight of the Osiris, which is a prelude to Matrix Reloaded, IIRC

Call me blasphemous. I don't care but a color version in English of Seven Samurai. But with an all asian cast. No Keanu Reeves please!

Krull is fine, unless they do what I heard what the plot was originally supposed to be.

Remakes of "Plan 9" and "Zardoz" would completely miss the point of why they're so memorable. (One is memorably inept, the other is memorably wacky.) As for "Game of Death", I'd rather someone went back in time and convinced Bruce Lee to finish his version before going off to do "Enter the Dragon". As for "Krull", I'm not sure about that one.

If you're open to it, I'd recommend watching the anime series adaptation of the story as it's filled with wonderful characters and has the essence of the story. And since it's animation, the English dubbing is not a distraction to the beautiful illustrations.

The only one I liked was the film noir segment, A Detective Story. I thought it was gorgeous. Nothing else really worked for me at all. That fight at the beginning of Flight of the Osiris is like the dumbest thing in the whole movie, I thought.

Speed, but you change a major part of the story: there's still a speeding bus, but the passengers are hostage on board because the driver has gone mad, and plans to blow up the bus somewhere, after some joy riding; alternatively, you can take out the bomb angle too, and just have the focus on the driver who has lost it, and has taken it out on the passengers.
