The people at CompUSA would probably tell you that you could. @$$holes...

And DON'T try to run FCP on a low-end iMac either. You'd go nuts and kill someone.

    Yeah those bastiches at Compusa.

Its funny to hear them pitch to people.
A lot of **** coming out of their mouth.

I only go there when i have to.

Everytime i would call about product availability they would always say "I don't know." Damn Spicolli's!!

EDIT: a little too literal on the self editing. :)

I once went to a CompUSA and I asked one person where their printer catridges were. He asked someone, the she asked someone else, then that guy asked someone else who asked the cashier who looked them up on the computer to see if they had any. and by that time I had walked around the store, played with a mac and iPod, played Star Wars racer, found the correct printer cartridge and was ready to pay. CompUSA employee training seems to dumb people down.

If you have a PC, just use Premiere, eventhough I feel FCP is much better.

Ah, CompUSA. I go whenever I can. Basically, I help people more than the people who work there, all the while pimpin' my own consulting service. Plus, the bargain bin is sometimes nicely stocked.

    Darn CompUSA j-o's.

    Aug. 12:
CompUSA Apple Specialist- "Yeah, everyone's outta 1Ghz G4's. This display model is the last one. But it's only been on display since May. You can have it if you want."

    Me- "Yay! I'm an idiot!"

    Grrrrrrrrrr...

Dorkman: you're better off doing a bit of research and becoming a do-it-your-self-er... you'll save yourself time and frustration over going to BestBuy or CompUSA... i'm running a dual PIII 1ghz, 512ram, ati radeon 8500 128mb, winxp, and i put it together myself... runs smooth as butter. i'm good with computers, so i never have to ask anyone for help. its much more painless.

I was hoping they could save the hard drive I royally pooched. Instead, they took a month to do what I could have in an hour (replaced the HD and installed the operating system fresh).

    CompUSA must die.
