    Well this is unexpected.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

EDIT: Fun read. I like the Sith amulet retcon for Trioculus's illness. Also, nice to see his hypnotic eye referenced. Plus some Kessel continuity fun.

Though, this opens up a number of questions. If I recall correctly, when we first learned of Niobi in Aliens in the Empire Part 1, a lot of people (everyone?) assumed she was the mother of Triclops, not Trioculus. The wording, from what I remember, was very vague, so we were just making an educated guess that Force experiments + three eyed child = Triclops.

So is this a retcon of a retcon? Or was that always intended?

Oh my goodness, that is exciting. Panaka? Sephi? A homeworld for Hissa? =((

Another Handley and Peña article!?!?! GREAT SUCCESS!!!
I was somewhat bemused they started with him. But that new Reskell Twane story is awesome.

And Hissa has a backstory at long last! Awesome!!! AND

HISSA AND PANAKA VS THE ORDER OF THE TERRIBLE GLARE MONSTERS???? The mind reals.

Pretty sure there is scientific proof to substantiate this claim right here on this forum.

It's things like this that remind me why I truly love Star Wars.

There's one thing that troubles me, though. Trioculus is Niobi's son? That makes him Triclops' brother, then?

It would certainly seem that way. Unless Niobi is the female "Jax Pavan" or "Bail."

Oh yes it is. When I gave Abel Peña that lyrical praise last time, I meant every word of it. My only regret is that General Otto from Star Wars Demolition was not mentioned. :p

Awesome. I'll have to check out the other two -- I probably ignored them since they were about stinkin aliens, but this stuff is great.

My favorite bit: Tigellinus aiming his famous disgust for aliens in Hissa's direction. That fits in well with Abel and Dan's explanation of his death at the hands of the soi-disant Central Committee.

As ever, even the slightest reference to the Imperial Court leaves me warm and fuzzy inside.

I am incensed. That's treason. That three-eyed monster may be a master of courtship but he's no emperor.

This made my day! It's nice to see some of KJA's references to GODV acknowledged and expanded on at last. :D And full color GODV illustrations?! Where have they been hiding these?!

Not even a third eye can foresee every danger? Heresy!

Also, I love the Hissa entry. His parents were basically space hippies, he was born in a space commune, and his nickname is Troff? Excelsior!

"Ends in heartache." A HA HA. =D=

That image of Hissa plummeting to his upside-down doom is even better in color.

Fantastic seeing The Gaar Suppoon Hit, of all things, referenced.

"Hissa comforts his dying Emperor and pupil"

I think I've got something in my eye. The look on Hissa's face really sells his inner anguish. He wants to tell Trioculus how he feels so badly, but he knows they can never truly be. The purest love can never truly last.

Look at how red Hissa's eyes are.

Excellent article! I love it when minor characters get such loving crafted backstories. Makes the galaxy truly feel like a place were everyone is the hero of their own story.

And wow, the empire's hypocrisy and corruption is on display in full force here.

Still, I don't like the Sith amulet retcon for Trioculous. Ok, no one liked midichlorians, I get it - but do we need to make everything in the galaxy magic to compensate?:p

A NEW ALIENS IN THE EMPIRE?!? YES!!!! :D[face_dancing] [face_party]

*Ahem* Excuse me. I had to get that out of my system. This is great! And I'm just praying that that was a Waru reference because if it was, my mind is blown. I really hope they end up covering Vengnar Heiff. If memory serves, he was meant to appear in the old Aliens in the Empire articles but got cut.
