Reports from Philadelphia say that fans who were chanting "Save The Crew" during the MLS SuperDraft were warned they would be forced to leave if they didn't abandon the chant. This was later modified, after the word was spreading on Social Media, that Don Garber clarified that all chants that didn't contain profanity were accepted at the Draft. Terrible and Tone Deaf MLS leadership, but, hey, at least they backtracked this time.

 

Zlatan playing for a retread coach who hasn't kept up with the changes in the game around him, and with a team that is a shell of the shadow their legacy should cast?

Literally, they elected the right hand man of the guy who oversaw the disaster that was World Cup Qualifying.

I mean. To be fair, there was 1-2 candidates who would have been worse choices from the field. But, yeah.

MLS will continue to go unchecked
Pay to Play will continue largely unchanged
National scouting networks will remain largely minimized.
Latino and inner city outreach will be neglected

The men's team will likely succeed in spite of this. Some of the young talent already in Europe is too good not to succeed - Pulisic, Weah, Sergeant, just to name a few, plus Steffen is legit between the pipes.

But, a disappointing and deflating day to be a fan. Have no desire to spend my discretionary budget on U.S. Soccer.

Captain Morgan Zlatan is one of my friend's favorite international player, so he's rather thrilled by this. Also... maybe it's unrelated, but it's humorous that the Galaxy feel threatened enough by the existence of LAFC to have the 'since 96' tag in their advertising.

 

If MLS weren't actively involved in a terrible theft of my favorite club, I'd advocate for you to support local soccer and pick a side between Galaxy and LAFC.

 

A great name I heard from a friend, for LAFC vs. Galaxy games: El Trafico.

The latest proposed Stadium plan for NYCFC is the best I've seen so far. Multi-faceted approach to using the property/land, which is nice to see - it's not just a soccer stadium in the proposal. Bottom line, NYCFC need to get out of Yankee Stadium for many reasons, and this would be a nice way to accomplish that.

 

ATL UTD games are really fun. We've been to a few last year and a couple so far this year, including the regular season final game last year that broke the MLS attendance record, and the home opener this year that broke that record.

 

You know what ATL UTD game was really fun? The playoff game.
